Aplikacja "Mapa turystyczno-edukacyjna DPN" powstała w ramach projektu "Plan ochrony Drawieńskiego Parku Narodowego", nr POIS.05.03.00-00-272/10 współfinansowanego przez Unię Europejską ze środków Europejskiego Funduszu Rozwoju Regionalnego w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Infrastruktura i Środowisko działania 5.3. priorytetu V. Projekt realizowany był od 1 stycznia 2011 r. do 30 czerwca 2014 r., a jego całkowita wartość wyniosła 2 560 499,69 zł, z tego dofinansowanie ze środków Europejskiego Funduszu Rozwoju Regionalnego to 2 176 424,73 zł. W ramach projektu opracowany został projekt planu ochrony Drawieńskiego Parku Narodowego oraz projekty planów zadań ochronnych dla obszarów Natura 2000 "Lasy Puszczy nad Drawą" - PLB320016 i "Uroczyska Puszczy Drawskiej" - PLH320046.
