Description

Get the password manager created by the scientists who met at CERN behind Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email provider. Proton Pass is open source, end-to-end encrypted, and protected by Swiss privacy laws.

Pass offers more than other free password managers and has no ads or data collection. You can use it for free forever on all your devices to create and store unlimited passwords, autofill logins, generate 2FA codes, create email aliases, secure your notes, and more.

* How can Proton Pass be free forever?
We offer Pass for free because everyone deserves online privacy and security. This is possible thanks to our supportive community on paid plans. If you would like to support our work and get access to premium features, consider upgrading your plan.

* Protect more than just your passwords.
Join over 100 million people who have signed up for Proton’s privacy ecosystem, which includes Proton Mail, Proton Drive, Proton Calendar, Proton VPN, and more. Take back control of your privacy online with our encrypted email, calendar, file storage, and VPN.

* Protect your logins and their metadata with battle-tested end-to-end encryption
While many other password managers only encrypt your password, Proton Pass uses end-to-end encryption on all your stored login details (including your username, the website address, and more). Pass protects your information with the same battle-tested encryption libraries all Proton services use.

* Audit Pass’s open-source code
Like all other Proton services, Pass is open source and built on the principle of trust through transparency. As scientists, we know that transparency and peer review lead to better security. All Proton Pass apps are open source, meaning anyone can verify our security claims for themselves.

With Proton Pass, you can:

- Store and auto-sync unlimited logins on unlimited devices: You can create, store, and manage your credentials from anywhere with our browser extensions and apps for Android and iPhone/iPad.

- Sign in faster with Proton Pass autofill: You no longer need to copy and paste your username and password. Easily and securely log in with Proton Pass autofill technology.

- Avoid weak passwords: With our built-in secure password generator, you can easily generate strong, unique, and random passwords based on the security requirements for every website you sign up to.

- Safely store encrypted notes: You can save private notes in Pass and access them on all your devices.

- Protect Proton Pass with biometric login access: You can add an extra layer of protection to Proton Pass by using your fingerprint or face to unlock the app.

- Create unique email addresses with hide-my-email aliases: Proton Pass helps you hide your personal email address with email aliases. Keep spam out of your inbox, avoid being tracked everywhere, and protect yourself from data breaches.

- Make 2FA easy with our built-in authenticator: With Pass’s integrated 2FA authenticator, using 2FA is finally fast and convenient. Easily add a 2FA code for any website and autofill it when you log in.

- Easily organize and share your sensitive data with vaults: Manage your logins, secure notes, and email aliases with vaults. In the next version of Pass, you’ll be able to share individual items or an entire vault with your family, friends, or colleagues.

- Quick offline access to your login data: Access your stored passwords and notes in Pass from wherever you are, even when your phone has no internet connection.

- Secure your Pass account with additional security measures: Protect all your data with another layer of protection, either with TOTP or U2F/FIDO2 security keys.

- Get unlimited email forwards: There’s no limit on the number of emails you can have forwarded from your alias to your inbox.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★I love Proton. I also love how this app can be locked by pin from within the app, without using biometrics. Please bring the security layout of this app to all apps you provide. I wish Samsung allowed us to pin protect individual apps outside the secure folder, but we cannot. The vpn needs to be installed both inside and outside the secure folder for full protection (if I've been informed correctly).
5 ★The only problem I'm having is when I go to update a password on a website Proton Pass doesn't ask to update it. I have to go to the app or browser extension to do it myself. Not sure if there is a setting for this or if it could be added as a feature, that'd be awesome. Other than that it works great for me and I prefer it over Bitwarden.
2 ★When it works, it works well. Love that it has 2FA built into it and the email alias. For me, when I go to give feedback using the give feedback button in the app it does nothing. Also, when I open the app nothing loads for my account. Force stopping and clearing cache don't work, uninstalling and reinstalling does but obviously that's not a long term solution. I use all the proton products and I'm sure they will fix these issues. I will update my review when that happens.
3 ★The auto fill leaves A LOT to be desired. Most of the time it will only fill the password and won't even register the username/email field. It also only works with IME integration, aka it only works with Google Keyboard. And even then...sometimes it won't work AT ALL. If you're used to using one of the more popular password managers that has mature features don't switch just yet. Having said that when it works, it works well. And email aliases are fantastic. Needs a standalone pwd generator.
4 ★Love that Proton came out with a Password Manager. Only reason I took one star away is when creating a website account on Android when using Chrome as the default browser, this manager sometimes will not have the box to auto generate a secure password. I have to go away from the page, open the app, click the +, select generate, copy, then go back to the page. Otherwise I love everything about it and highly recommend.
1 ★Proton doesn't make it clear enough that having more than 1 free account is not allowed ("Add or change account" make it even more misleading). Without warning my account got suspended aftet a month & all of my stored passwords gone. Filed appeal asking to at least transfer my passwords somewhere else, it got denied. I was right to trust my guts & only stored some there to test. I can't imagine if I stored my most important passwords like my bank account/taxes. Unbelievable, years of trust lost.
3 ★It's great so far. I am coming from bitwarden, and I like your direction. We are still waiting for shared vaults because this is huge for my family. This is a very important feature. I also use Firefox focus browser and limit the use of apps on my phone. I need this password manager to auto fill on my browser and the 2fa feature does not auto fill currently either. Those feature worked fine in apps but do not with the browser. Might be on my end but this is another feature I need if it isnt.
4 ★I'm coming from Bitwarden and there's a few things that I miss like having all your 2FA on one tab instead of having to search for the entry you're looking for, a master password, and YubiKey compatibility. That being said, it's been updated a bunch and new features are added all the time, so I'm comfortable giving a 4 star for now and I'm sure I'll have to bump it up to 5 very soon! I've had Proton Unlimited for a few months and I've been happy with the quality and consistency of the updates!
4 ★I regularly have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get any of my information to load. It usually works a few times and then when I open it again, it's just blank and none of my info loads and I can't log out and back in again. Working with dev on this. Removing the biometrics lock has improved stability in the app, which has changed my rating
3 ★The interface is sleek and simple and feels good on mobile. However, there are some features missing. 1. There's no sharing. My wife and I both use pw mgrs and we share stuff all the time. Sharing is a needed feature before I can even entertain using this. 2. No attachments. There are times when attaching a file in a pw mgr is more desirable than putting it in Drive. E.g. a VPN config file with the user & pw. 3. Lastly, there's no option for a master pw reprompt on particularly sensitive items.
4 ★Super easy to import from previous password manager, works great, especially on desktop. A little work to do on Android as far as some login pages not being recognized which are recognized on desktop. Overall a great product with just that slight caveat. I use all of Proton's products except Drive and they're a great company.
3 ★I really want to like this app. It works well on desktop and on mobile apps, however it will not autofill on my main mobile browser (Brave). If I want to use it on a mobile browser I have to either switch browsers or open the Pass ap to copy and paste. I'm optimistic this app will improve, but until this is fixed I cannot stick with it.
