3 ★As a new HBO subscriber, I was excited to download this app so I can watch highly rated HBO-exclusive content but quickly disappointed to learn there is no ability to temporarily download content. For those of us who primarily use these type services when traveling where wi-fi is spotty or non-existent, this is a grave oversight. Adding the ability to temporarily download content like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc would be a huge improvement.
1 ★worked great for 2 weeks then keeps telling me it can't verify I have access to the subscription and signing me out. locks out for 24 hours only to do it all over again. I am not happy at all! and I've done the fixes you've suggested for other ppl and nothing helps at all. it seems to be a huge issue for many ppl. Fix it!
1 ★opened the app, logged in, hung 3x in a row when trying to watch show. reset phone, hung again. UPDATE: No fix and it's been at least 2 weeks. Android Note 4. My phone software is up to date, both the android software and HboGO. i also uninstalled and reinstalled HBO software. The video constantly hangs while the audio keeps going. I actually changed my vote from 2 to 1 stars now.
1 ★I cannot go from episode to episode without frustration due to having to have the app crash itself twice. Once because when it transitions to the next one it freezes, and the other because the start of the next episode will buffer but still show subtitles and hear dialogue if you are lucky only two will be needed. A third may be required if the app will decide to load up or not.
1 ★Why offer the service? I'm always being propted to sign in using my phone or laptop, enter the code & once again it says my provider does not support this device. It's BS because i was just logged in watching GOT or some other show that sparked my interest that same day! Why must i constantly log in, contact my cable company (they can't fix sh** anyway) who argues it's the App. I may as well walk into my living room and watch vs watching from the comfort of my bed room on my Fire TV on HBOGo. BS
1 ★This app doesn't even give a chance to login when I put Xfinity in. I thought much better of HBO than that. The HBO help as you see gives me a web address to go to tell me how to login the way that I already tried and still the same result. The app itself says it has a hard time communicating with Xfinity. Why am I being told to go try to sign again when HBO is the one that has the communication problem?
1 ★I would not recommend this app to anyone unless you have turbo-speed WiFi. I'm on a 4G Network with 5 Bars and the movies/series I try to watch play for 7 seconds and buffer for 30 seconds. Rinse and repeat over and over. Customer service will chime into this review and post their little automated Troubleshooting Guide that will have do almost everything to your device except a factory reset. And their guide resolves nothing. The problem is you can't choose a quality mode to watch in.
1 ★error playing videos since two weeks. it says to check my internet connection and try again both when I am on wi-fi and 4g. Tried uninstalling, force stop, clear cache and signing in again, didn't work. tried these steps suggested, still doesn't work. the omly way i can watch now is by casting the videos.
1 ★This app is horrible. I have had it installed for about a year. These past few months, I keep getting "Sorry, we encountered a problem playing this video that we couldn't recover from. Please try again later. Error Code 102". I have tried again later....months later...and it still "encountered a problem".
1 ★Crashes, sign-out and error codes are all I get. Even my service provider said the app is horrible and entirely the responsibilty of the HBO development team. Who are absolutely impossible to contact and never reply via email. Don't waste your time or money on HBO Go, I'm cancelling mine at the end of the month.
1 ★hey HBO... how can you possibly put your content on this POS app?? it legit, does not work at all. completely screws up my chromecast in the process of "error code 002" or whatever. it's 2019.... a monkey could design a better app than this.
1 ★choppy jittery video that doesnt match audio. horrible on any action sequence because half the action is missing. i cant even watch it. multiple uninstalls does not fix it. or it fixes it for 1 movie and starts it all over again. i think your updates are causing it!! i pay a lot for this channel and it should work right on my tablet! i dont have any of these choppy issues on other apps at all. fix this or lose another customer.
