3 ★The latest update is a step backwards in a couple of ways. 1. You can't change the location radius or specify a different location to search. 2. It is frustrating to not see the miles per dollar in the list view. You are now forced to select each store individually to see the miles per dollar.
1 ★What in the world? Is this some sort of joke? I'm trying to use the app for online shopping and it either won't connect to the website or when I'm in the website it's slow or unresponsive. I've tried multiple times over the last several days, trying to use different websites. I just signed up for this app to use in conjunction with my brand new Chase MileagePlus credit card because my friend was singing praises about using them together. Now I'm thinking I just got scammed. I'm trying to shop for the love of god! Take my money! Gah so frustrating.
1 ★It doesn't work 50% of the time . Sometimes you can log in other times it gives you an error message. I purchased E- gift cards can't open them. No number to call chest through email. They take forever to answer your questions. In December that stopped giving me my miles up until April of this year. I had to send in all receipts, dates, amounts & merchant. Very irritating and time consuming.
5 ★Update: United contacted me and gave me a potential solution. They advised me to go into my Mileage Plus account (website) and re-enter my address / phone number for each credit card I had registered on the site. Once I did that, I was able to make gift card purchases again as normal! --------- This was a great app but now is full of errors, authorizes and puts holds on cars but never actually generates the gift card. The old app worked perfect. This one is garbage.
1 ★This app is complete GARBAGE. It doesnt work at all now! I've used this app for years and have purchased tens of thousands of $ in gift cards but the app hasn't worked in abouI 3 months. I get "transaction cannot be completed" errors each time I try to purchase gift cards. I verified all of my personal and CC information in my United profile is accurate. The developers need to be FIRED! They have released at least two updates recently, about 10 days apart, and the app STILL doesn't work.
5 ★Since the number of restaurants that we like to frequent is rather empty right now, I discovered that there are tons of restaurants where I can buy a gift card up front and then actually go to the restaurant later. but the miles get credited to my balance right away. Plus, I just noticed that I can get 5 miles per $ spent on gift cards for AMC theaters!! That ROCKS!!!
1 ★Keeps saying "Enrollment error" when trying to add my card. Buggy (slow, unresponsive) search and TERRIBLE interface on this redesign! The previous version of this app was MUCH better to navigate and easier on the eyes...and more functional than it is now. Way to go in making it LESS user-friendly and slower right at the busiest shopping time of the year! Will be using my other shopping rewards memberships until this improves. Update 2/12/19: NO improvements! Worse than before.
1 ★Worked fine for a bit, but now the app doesn't let the user purchase egiftcards. Tried to buy coffee with it this morning and I noticed that it no longer had my credit card information saved. Don't download until you start to see better reviews because for the time being it's a poor app by poor developers. :(
1 ★No map. Mop place to enter zip code. No place to enter city. A useless product. Tried to reinstall. Still useless.
1 ★The app has a new look, but it's still having every single problem it had before. Redeeming miles for gift cards is still nearly impossible. The system keeps saying to contact customer support, but customer support never replies back. All issues are left unresolved.
1 ★Scary shot. Totally invasive. Only used my credit card, but after a couple of days my SO's credit card was magically added to the app. Either because United Airlines mapped historic purchases to my home address, or the company I bought a gift card from mapped the address back to my home address. Deleting the app, after I use the gift card I bought. Glad I 'only' spent $5 on that. Leeches. On the other hand, 'you're the product' goes for every app you download and use through Google. Or any online entity. #sad.
1 ★Non of the vendor sites work through the Mileageplus app. Have been trying to sign into the Macy's site through the app. When viewing products can't go to the next page. The vendors who are participating should complain because consumers cant work with them not because we don't want to but because the app doesnt allow us to.
