5 ★It's pretty reminiscent of the in person doctor experience. Some doctors are more invested than others. Some spend more time than others. They ask good questions. It's just like being in an office. Take the time to find the doctor you prefer. There are many choices. You can request the same one. Or you can do the first available lottery. I'll be using this for my non primary related doctor needs. My insurance offers this app at no charge no copay, so I'm thrilled! Saved me a lot of money.
3 ★I have been having a great experience with both the app and Amwell services. It has been a god-send for me for many reasons. I am very grateful my insurance has teamed up with Amwell. However, as time went on I discovered the billing dept really sucks! I had appts scheduled and when I logged in I found that I suddenly had to pay for the visit out of my pocket, but my insurance covers it 100%. I was expected to pay for it and be reimbursed by my insurance. Like I have $80 just sitting around.
5 ★I have used this service before, and the doctors have been very professional. compassionate, and easy to understand. This has saved me since I've been trying to get affordable and complete health insurance. I have only been able to afford substandard group membership that has not done much but collect a monthly cost. I get better care through the doctors on this service. I'm so thankful they are available.
5 ★Super quick and easy video visit with a Dr for a straight forward, common issue. So much cheaper and easier than an in office visit. It's after 9 pm, so I'll be able to pick up my prescription in the morning. The app struggled to confirm my insurance, probably because it's after hours, so I'll have to submit this to them, in case I over paid. Still it was pretty cheap, and the Dr was nice!
1 ★Horrible app design. It will randomly bring you from the waiting room back to the login page while the app is open. If you switch to another app and back it brings you to the sign-in page, so you effectively loose your spot in line.
1 ★I need to contact the doctor i saw but have no way to do so. The app has a message system built in and you are suppose to be able to contact the doctor but it doesn't work. It doesn't have anyone listed as a contact. In addition it took forever to see a doctor. It would say someone is available but as soon as you are about to connect it says they're unavailable. It keep sugesting people i could see sooner and i agreed but then it would say they are not available. Huge waste of time.
4 ★Excellent, but slow scripts. It's now been 3 hrs & my script hasn't been received by the pharmacy. Hopefully it shows up before they close. The Dr. I spoke with was kind & easy to understand. Also, the sound was extremely quiet at full volume. I had to be in a very quiet area & still struggled with hearing, but managed to get the visit accomplished. Now to wait (impatiently) for the script.....
1 ★I tried to upload a photo of the condition I needed help with, but "poor internet connection" immediately popped up on my Samsung S20Ultra. Skipping the photo, I opted for a video visit, which crashed almost immediately. My internet connection is excellent, so it wasnt on my end. I then opted for a phone visit for which I was told I could not be diagnosed. So the connection wasnt my fault, but I STILL HAD TO PAY $79, for the doctor to tell me I could not be diagnosed? Not happy!
2 ★First visit for my son went great. Doctor was friendly and listened and helpful. Second visit was for me. The doctor couldn't even work his camera correctly so all you could see was the top of his head. He then was very condescending. He didn't even know about one of the medications I was taking (it's used off label for my treatment). He kept insisting it's never used for that I must take it for something else. 🙄 You can't go back to file a complaint.
5 ★Amwell is a lifesaver (and I mean that literally). The app is very user friendly and fairly inexpensive to use (Idk about the uninsured rates tho). Appointments are very flexible and you can speak to a licensed professional from the comfort of your own sofa. The therapists have a wide range of specialties, allowing you to choose the best fit for your needs. They also offer urgent care appointments and medication services. 10/10 would def recommend to everyone.
5 ★The wait was only a few minutes for the video to start. The pediatrician Marisa Quattrone was so kind and willing to help. She didnt rush the visit and she answered all of my questions with thorough answers. I am so relieved to have found this app and that it takes my insurance. I am most definitely going to use this again over taking my kids to the doctor for something small like a cold or am unsure of what care is necessary they will be able to tell you the best option. It was so real too!
5 ★I've always used Doctor on Demand, this however was a much better visit than I've ever had with them. The people that I encountered on my first visit were amazingly fantastic and so easy to talk to. I didn't feel like I might need to question their diagnosis or anything. The doctor I saw, Srinivasan Pillai, was awesome. So easy to talk to and was interested in what was going on with me. I completely recommend this to anyone who has a non urgent medical issue!
