1 ★I used this app before and I would have given it 4 stars back then, but now upon redownloading it this has become unusable, it's so unbelievably laggy that I can't use it at all. The slogan "Designed to be deleted" should be based on its ability to match, not because it's so frustrating to use you have no choice but to delete!
3 ★I think Hinge is pretty good! They appear to update their content from time to time to keep up with the ever changing world. I would have given 4/5 stars, however, I am currently having issues of notifications or not receiving certain messages at all, meaning that some people have asdumed that I have been ignoring them (while I just think I'm being ghosted). This came to my attention from a few people now that I bumped into at a later stage, which has made me feel like I have missed out.
1 ★My location was randomly reset to across the country. When I first set up my profile, which was a while ago, I had selected my location. One day I start noticing that the suggested profiles are all from places I've never heard of. I check my location in the settings and it was randomly set to be across the country, somewhere in New York, which I haven't been to in over 10 years. I also haven't changed the location settings. This caused me to waste my time viewing incompatible profiles.
1 ★Complete trash, I paid for a 3 month subscription just to find out that I had to pay more just to find anyone remotely attractive. After swiping through 100s or profiles there's not one attractive match, the only way to find someone is by buying roses which are ridiculously overpriced considering the membership fee. I do not recommend they are deliberately making fake profiles in order for you to purchase roses. Does not deserve 1 star 0 out of 10
2 ★It's so glitchy and the preferences don't actually hold true. I keep getting out of my age range, mileage range, and other things. Conversation notifications aren't popping up until hours after the messages were sent. No one gets notifications and nothing is what it needs to be...why would I pay when thr free stuff doesn't even work!
3 ★I use to really love this app but I've been very frustrated with the bugs lately! I can't load up my chats so the only thing I see is a push notification. Now I'm not sure whether or not my matches get my messages. I tried finding formal customer service options on their website to report bugs but none seem to be present. I'm happy to bump up this review if these issues are addressed.
4 ★I like the idea of the app, but there are some annoying technical glitches that make it difficult to use. For example, messages don't seem to save as drafts if you need to do something else in the middle of composing a reply (but for some reason, sometimes drafts DO get saved. I have yet to understand why)
1 ★Very glitchy and once a like appears in the notifications it won't load in the app. Also I agree with all the other reviewers who say that they did not experience alot of matches because they make people who pay a priority. Lastly you can only like a small amount before you run out of likes for the day. Very annoying. Please work on these issues! Thanks!
1 ★A few days ago the app became unbearably laggy. Any action on the app takes anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to register. Has made the app unusable. Looks like I might not be alone in this, so I hope they are working on a fix. Shocked that this could happen on such a popular, well-funded app.
2 ★I feel like this could be a good app but they are trying to nickel and dime you for everything. The likes they give you are extremely limited, you only get one rose a week to give to one of the top suggestions. Plus the app is extremely confusing to figure out at first. Also the monthly price and the price for additional likes and roses is way higher than any dating app I've ever tried and isn't even feasible.
2 ★Very average ease of use, nothing really special about this app, just another Tinder knockoff. Also I saw the price for premium membership and no lie, I stared at it for a full 10 seconds. I would not even consider paying that insane cost, other identical apps are less than 1/3 of the price. Entirely underwhelming.
1 ★It's basically pay to play. And even that doesn't work. You only get s limited amount of likes per day and only on rose a week, and if you want more you have to pay for it. And this is only my experience, but even after I payed for more roses and the money was taken from my account, the app still didn't give me the roses. And the help center doesn't really help at all. Honestly I had high hopes for this app, but as it stands, it's not worth the time.
