5 ★I really like Notion. It saves me from making a u-turn a couple of blocks from home, to make sure that I actually closed the garage door, which prior to Notion, I did on a pretty regular basis. Now, I just check the app. I would like to see the app give me the very last activity when the garage closes, as an alert notification. As it is now, I have to open the app and click on the last open event, which then shows it is closed. I have another pod which I haven't placed anywhere just yet. The system is simple to use, and very helpful for what I need.
3 ★New unit arrived today. Installed this app and gave up my email address, hope I dont end up regretting that. "Plug it in" next "connecting to bridge" "configuring bridge" "error configuring bridge - reset" repeat, repeat, repeat... EDIT great tech support, got it going. Im not real impressed with it but it does work now. It sends out a lot of alerts so dont use your primary email address.
1 ★Update: both sensors are junk. this is a responce to Notions responce that they are a small team. If you are a small team that cant provide user guidance then rolling your product out with home insurance is a terrible plan. The product doesn't work. It sends useless notifications. The user experience team is unhelpful and slow to respond. The installation process has frustrating and endless loops with no help or guidance. I only use it for the discount. Cute size.
1 ★Can't finish setting up my bridge. Get through a few steps and, when I get to the part where I select my wifi, the button is disabled with no feedback saying why. Luckily I got these sensors free from my insurance company. If I had paid for them I'd be very angry that the app renders them useless.
2 ★Not impressed so far. My insurance company required me to activate Notion. I set-up my 1st sensor and was receiving readings from it. After closing and reopening the app that sensor no longer appears as part of my system. I do not think this system is ready for prime time.
2 ★To be fair with my review im using the 1st gen system and they're on the 3rd gen. In the beginning I really liked the system although im experiencing a lot of the same bugs as the beginning such as false notifications and sensors continuiously losong connection despite batteries being ok. I did believe these issues would be ironed out over time but never seem to notice an improvement over the last couple years. Its a cool system but seems to behind others in reliability.
1 ★Terrible experience. The sensors didn't calibrate at the beginning. I then followed the suggestion from Notion website to bring the sensors closer to the bridge and tried to delete and add it back to recalibrate. The app kept saying "we are collecting info about this sensor, please wait for 30 seconds". Tried multiple times after waiting, never worked.
1 ★1. The internet of things thing that cannot link to any other things! Release the API/source, we will do it for you. 2. Very slow on inquiring the sensor. 3. I had to keep my 2.4 GHz wifi signal for this outdated things. 4. No matter how many time you calibrate the sensor, But the door mode for sensor is send wrong status all the time. Didn't buy it, came with my home insurance and that's only reason that i kept it yet. It's act only as my attic thermometer. One star for the🌡️ with logs.
1 ★worst experience ever 1. download app...check 2. create an account...check 3. plug bridge to the wall...check 4. install bridge via wifi.........this is where the issues start. it first told me to move the bridge closer to my router (i went from 15 to 3 ft away) now that i moved closer it is not even reading the bridge...the app advises to clear the settings (how???) and try again is there a customer support number to guide you through the process? there are no instructions or guidance onthe web
1 ★Complete waste of money. Sensors constantly loose connection to bridge, even if sensor is in same room (I have no issues with my other WiFi devices). Batteries do not last that long and are too expensive to replace.
1 ★Terrible device and app and support team. AVOID at all costs. My front door sensor keeps overfiring. I get dozens of notifications every day that the door got opened. So I turned off the notifications. Useless. I live in an apartment and the sensirs continiously get disconected and connected. On top of all this they removed my review once. I bet they reported it because it contained the wird "crappy". FIX YOUR USELESS PRODUCT instead of shutting down criticism.
4 ★I really like the app and the sensors, Wish hippo would give us more sensors or the wish the sensors were less expensive.
