3 ★This app is a great improvement over the previous version (MyVTech Baby 1080p) 5 stars when it works. There is one problem that started with the release of Android 13 using on Pixel 6a: It is that when rotating the phone to go into full screen - the app minimizes the view and shows a button to re-launch the application. You can click the full screen button on bottom right of view to get full screen to work, just not when you rotate the phone (as it previously worked to go into full screen).
1 ★The old app was good, this new app is garbage. You constantly have to refresh to see multiple cameras live in one screen. It takes forever to refresh. I used to be able to just log in and see both camera live. Now I have to click then individually. It still has old features like pan, zoom, music, etc. All are just more irritating to use and do now. This app is definitely a downgrade from the old, nonpro version and I didn't even have a choice to switch or not.
1 ★App is a buggy mess. Once I turn on a sound I cannot turn it off, change the volume or change the music without force closing the app and reloading. Same thing with the night light. Meanwhile accessing same camera with iOS has no issue. Moreover, why can't someone clean up when the sound effects loop? Why have the audio track fade in and out on loop? Lazy programming all around.
1 ★Quit screwing with the app! Every single time you change something, fix something, do anything, the app stops working. I used to love this monitor. Now the only way I can view it is with the parent module! Super frustrating and absolutely annoying. I cannot wait to get rid of this horrible thing! I used to tell people ton buy the vtech products but will refuse to purchase another! Never again!
2 ★Had to get this app because Baby 1080p broke itself during an update. This app is significantly worse than that app. It works, but barely. Long load times, even on Wi-Fi. Poor picture quality, poor music quality (the app effects the music? Devs, lemme tell you bout this bug). The UI is nice, but defeated again by long load times. The app exists, so it gets a star and it works, so it gets another. There's my breakdown and thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
1 ★Weeks later after the original app crashed I was finally able to fully download this new version which had been unable to download successfully multiple times through no fault of my own and no problems with my device. Now that I've downloaded the app the intro screen telling me it's a new version of the app is on the screen but there's nothing to click on to move past this screen and the text at the bottom is incomplete so I can't scroll to possibly click through. Complete fail.
1 ★We have had this camera for three months. The connection was glitchy and took a while to load. It also gave notifications that there was movement when there was none which was annoying. However, I would take that over what we have now; a very expensive paper weight. This past week the camera has stopped connecting. We have done all the troubleshooting, called and emailed with no response. I would think it was an issue on our end of my sister wasn't having the EXACT same issue with hers as well.
1 ★App was working fine, a little slow to load the camera and there's def a lag, but nothing too bad. That is until this morning. I was unexpectedly logged out of the app. When I try logging back in it says my account doesn't exist. I tried creating a new account and it was my email is already used. I tried resetting the password and the site keeps crashing before completing the process. Emailed customer service and the automated response says they'll get back to me in 2 days!!
1 ★The first app was great, simple, easy to use. All the cameras showed a live view on the home screen. You could use the back button to get out of the app. Then they changed it and it's been HORRIBLE! None of the stuff I loved about the first app is true anymore. Now, they just updated it again, which logged me out. Now it says login failed when I try to log back in. Great job.... *sarcasm
1 ★No matter what I do, I can't talk to my baby through the app. It shows that it should be transmitting and it doesn't go through on the monitor side. Very frustrating. If I could return the device I would. It worked before on the VTech 1080p app and I was highly satisfied. But since switching to the "Pro" app, it's lost function and the app constantly has sever issues. I will not buy another VTech product, and will make sure none of my soon to be mom friends don't buy VTech either.
2 ★Awful! The old app was amazing like picture quality off the charts instant connection from the app. After being forced to switch to the Pro the picture quality has gone down, and connection to the camera was slow at best often requiring me to close and reopen the app. In the past 2 days it has gone from frustration to being unable to connect at all. I have closed and reopened the app, logged out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still no dice. So frustrating!
1 ★Worse than the last app. IF it even loads the video at all, it takes FOREVER! But most of the time, it simply doesn't work at all. The old app was simple to use and it worked most of the time. This app has a bunch of dumb features I'll never use and has worked maybe twice since I downloaded it. Between this and the month it took customer service to get back to me about an issue when they claim it should only take a day, I'll never buy VTech products again.
