1 ★If I could give this zero stars, I would. I ordered the BLE version of the device, since I thought for a few dollars more, I might be able to sell it in future to somebody who had iOS devices. Quoting from the website, "If your Android device supports BLE the choice is up to you : BLE is the newer standard and you would be able to switch to iOS if the situation arises." Seems pretty clear - my Android devices support BLE, and have never had an issue connecting to ANY bluetooth device. The software is buggy, and won't connect, despite trying it on four separate android devices, each running the latest bluetooth software and drivers. I have emailed the developer a half-dozen times; he responded twice, gave me advice I had already pulled from his website, and then disappeared. I now have a $150 paperweight, as he won't accept a return. It *will* work on iOS, but there's no way I'm going to buy a separate phone just to brew coffee! Given the level of support and responsiveness that this developer has shown, I would absolutely recommend that you try some other PID solution.

1 ★Ordered the PID on the 24th of April. Payment was taken. Still have not received the product(as of May 31st). Contacted the company numerous time through the contact form on their website. Never received a reply. Non existent customer service.

2 ★Lee, I also have ble and it connects both from pixel2 but also older nexus 7 2013 which only got ble as unpublished feature. Try enable ble in me coffee setting. Also note you don't actively connect ble via android Bluetooth search like normal. The app does itself once you tell it you have ble. But otherwise I agree 5* product. 4* app. But 2* support due to no reply (yet) to emails since initial purchase emails. Update: meCoffee. Please can you reply to my email. I now have what I presume to be a bricked/broken PID though I didn't do anything between it working except change the brew temperature (it worked, let me brew the coffee and was still working when I turned off). Thanks (I've increased rating since I've found the cause of the bug and a workaround) I had issues with Force closes and crashes when changing setting on my ble enabled device because and the the brew temperature was set whenever I set steam temp or 125° max. 125° coffee is not nice. Also default 125° is set way too low and put control of steam is ineffective. I've sorted what was causing the app crashes and writing to the wrong settings and falling to set steam temperature entirely. Because I am using ble version from android. I had enabled ble from within Bluetooth setting but also disabled the regular bt2 classic settings. From that moment on crash central (even if you re-enable the classic bt setting) until you wipe data/uninstall and start again from scratch. The trick is from a fresh install to jus leave regular bt2 enabled, under no account touch that toggle else your app is broken until you wipe app data and start again. Just additionally enable ble on the first application start which connects to the pid, and then don't touch it again. Also do not change temperature using the+/- buttons when in steam mode which also seems to save into brew temp as you said, and for me additionally breaks app permanently in the same way as toggling Bluetooth in the app.

5 ★Great software to complement the best PID for Silvia. Eagerly waiting for cleaning cycle automation and perhaps integrating with Acaia Bluetooth scales to fully automate brew time. This platform opens up many opportunities!

5 ★Brilliant PID. Now get consistent espresso and setting the steam temperature lower makes frothing milk easier to control.

5 ★Great product with a very nice app - it makes the Rancilio Silvia really fulfil its potential. More different UI layouts would be nice, but that's me really nitpicking :-)
