It was just small beginning with few mushroom cultures obtained from Researchers; these cultures were maintained for the research work. Today we have one of the largest mushrooms Gene Bank in India preserving the valuable mushroom Germ Plasm. The goal of Gene Bank is to collect; conserve and supply these cultures to entrepreneurs and research Institutes.
