Služba za turizam organizaciono pripada Odjeljenju za privredni razvoj, sport i kulturu Vlade Brčko distrikta BiH – Pododjeljenju za turizam, sport i kulturu.U djelokrugu rada Službe za turizam vrše se poslovi koji su u vezi s predlaganjem sistemskih mjera i mjera ekonomske politike za ostvarivanje zadataka utvrđenih planskim i drugim aktima u oblasti turizma i ugostiteljstva.

Izrada propisa od interesa za unapređenje kulturno-manifestacijskog, sportsko-rekreativnog, tranzitnog, seoskog, eko i drugih oblika turizma također se nalazi u opisu i djelokrugu Službe.
Kao poseban zadatak u radu Službe definiše se saradnja sa sportskim i kulturnim institucijama Brčko distrikta BiH i šire, a s ciljem komplementarnog povezivanja turizma i drugih oblasti, te promocija kako na domaćem tako i na međunarodnom tržištu.
