Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

2 ★after the recent update it crashes regularly on refesh. other issue is that it opens blank screen instead of some websites (this happened with older version as well) but i guess it's not that easy to fix.
2 ★Amazing overall experience. However, recently the app is prompting me to login every time I comment. It won't let me login, saying it requires a capcha. I'd rate this 5 stars as soon as this critical issue is fixed.
3 ★The saved stories export feature doesn't work, and not all articles render correctly.
3 ★still a lot of articles that are not loading. wikipedia for example us necer displayed in the app. lots of others as well l. otherwise an excellent reader for hacker News. 2 more stars when this bug fixed.
2 ★An okay app that has a bad habit of reporting a "Materialistic has stopped working" error before kicking you back to the front page of the app without keeping track of what article you were reading.
5 ★Great app, but the export feature from the saved posts section isn't working :/
4 ★it doesn't open some articles without the extra step of going to the external browser, frequently crashes, and doesnt properly save theme. When it does work, it's great.
4 ★A few bugs with the article view but a mostly solid app to look at hackernews
2 ★About half of the articles won't load, and there's no easy way to "open in browser". The comments section works well though. Not sure why this is such a popular app.
2 ★This app has a real problem loading articles. Makes it almost pointless. Everything else about it is fine but it's unusable in it's current state. Will be looking for alternatives.
1 ★Crashes often, UI has serious Lifecycle issues, Articles don't render.
4 ★Fantastic App. Makes staying up to date with HN easy. Only 4 stars because the Saved Stories feature has an export button that doesn't work. Please fix this!
