محمدتقی بهار، ملقب به ملک‌الشعرا، شاعر، ادیب، نویسنده، روزنامه‌نگار و سیاست‌مدار معاصر ایرانی بود.محمدتقی بهار در ۱۶ آبان ۱۲۶۵ برابر با ۱۳۰۵ قمری در مشهد زاده شد. پدرش میرزا محمدکاظم صبوری، ملک‌الشعرای آستان قدس رضوی در زمان ناصرالدین شاه بود؛ مقامی که پس از درگذشت پدر، به فرمان مظفرالدین شاه، به بهار رسید.
