"Apprezzami l'asino" è un'antica strada mulattiera, una volta utilizzata da mercanti e viandanti come percorso di collegamento tra Sapri e Maratea. Dopo la costruzione della Strada Statale 18, il sentiero è divenuto di fatto un itinerario turistico. Si snoda a picco sul mare per circa tre chilometri, offrendo quasi ovunque un panorama mozzafiato. Il contesto ambientale è di gran pregio, con predominio della macchia mediterranea. Non presenta particolari difficoltà di accesso ed è ideale per escursioni e passeggiate. Molti amano utilizzarlo durante la mattina o nel tardo pomeriggio per il jogging.
