Description

You may know LibreOffice from the desktop - the free and open source office suite (successor to OpenOffice) with over 200 million users worldwide. It's secure and respects your privacy, not sharing your documents with anyone else. It's also available for Android in a simplified form, to view documents in these formats:

• Open Document Format (odt, ods, odp, odg)
• Microsoft Office 2007–365 (docx, xlsx and pptx)
• Microsoft Office 97–2003 (doc, xls and ppt)

LibreOffice Viewer also has experimental editing features, which are not yet suited to production use. (Experimental mode can be enabled in the app settings.) The software is open source and made by a worldwide community, so if you'd like to improve the experimental editing support, please join us!

Feedback and bug reports are very welcome, to help developers improve the quality of the application. You can report bugs and attach files here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org

LibreOffice Viewer is built on the same technology as LibreOffice desktop for Windows, macOS and Linux. LibreOffice Viewer is released under the Mozilla Public License v2. The software is backed by a dynamic community, represented by The Document Foundation, a not for profit entity based in Germany.

LibreOffice was based on OpenOffice.org (commonly known as OpenOffice). Full credits: https://www.libreoffice.org/about-us/credits

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★opened my.ods file on the first try. did what I needed!
5 ★"LibreOffice is a top-tier app! Thank you! However, even paid for versions of a number of company apps don't allow you to retrieve files from specific device folders, as does LibreOffice Viewer. Note: You can save files to specific folders. Other apps allow you to retrieve files from specific folders., but not this one. You are, instead, forced to use a cloud service and use their folder system. Well, each company is going to force us to do what they want, not the customer.
5 ★it works well for me as an alternative of opening documents in Google drive
5 ★Thank you! I'm glad I have libreOffice for my convenience.
2 ★OK. It's a phone version of PART of Libre Office, which is similar to Open Office, & both of which reside in & are frequently used on my laptop. That's right. Adults use computers for computer stuff, & phones for telephone calls. (Kids & folks without try to substitute flat phones as computers.). This viewer takes a big rating hit because it refuses to edit files. That's right ▶️. Look, there's a flag on the field now. Someone needs to pull up those pants & tie those shoes. That's right.
1 ★I enjoy Libre office on desktop, so this is a bit disappointing. Opened an ODT file and edited it with the experimental function, saved it - now the app crashes every time I want to open the file again. Turned off the experimental thing, reinstalled the app, no success. 🫤 Edit: Tried another app, AndrOpen Office, I get a warning that the file is corrupted. After "repairing" it seems the previous edits did save. However, I won't be using the LibreOffice app any more. Really a shame.
1 ★doesn't work. wont open any ods doc ----- to answer the developer yeah it didn't work from the app it was a libre office doc I tried opening from the app itself. worked on a different app.
5 ★Good app to view Libreoffice files. Updates sort of work too, but be careful since not all updates work (I found that my updates to an encrypted file weren't saved).
3 ★New version works great!! Looking forward to future developments edit: Not working for me anymore. Haven't been able to view my synced documents for months.
5 ★This app needs an upgrade as it's unable to open excel files that have multiple sheets, it struggles to show data when multiple sheets are there and tries to truncate the data and sometimes overrides the column. LibreOffice for PC variant works fine without any glitches but Android variant needs a workaround. Why not incorporate editing too as it's there but in experimental settings.
