4 ★The app does a great job of reading cards, but the information does not go into your contacts unless you import each contact individually. The good: Covve Scan does a better job of scanning the data from the cards than any other app I've tried. The bad: Once the cards are scanned, the only effective way is to import each contact individually. Please add a feature to import all contacts or scan directly to native dialer contacts.
3 ★The OCR is excellent, very few misses. Much better than a few expensive apps. There is also a handy cropping tool. I tested with 10 cards. I find he pricing ok and I would be willing to buy it. But I am not keeping the app. I could not figure out a way to sort the cards. They are shown in the order scanned and that is it. I cannot order alphabetically by name or company for instance (but also the current date of input). I thought that this would be the bare minimum to expect. Note that there is a search engine there but it is not an alternative.
4 ★Pretty good business card scanner app... Still lacks some must haves for business. No export to Outlook or Gmail (natively) also can't save the back image of the business card (some business cards have info on both sides that should be able to be captured if desired). Backup to cloud option needs to be added (MS OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.) Export to CSV is nice if it were still 1990 for backups. Import from pictures is also a missing feature (business events is common for this need)
5 ★Excellent app! The OCR capabilities in this app are amazing!!! I have scanned a few businesses cards just to test it out and it picked up everything. Plus the most amazing thing about this app is that it will allow you to save the contact info in your Google contacts!!!! That is a win win in my book. Happy scanning
3 ★Opportunities for improvement: 1. Content of reverse side of the card is not included/read. 2. I have not figured out the way to add additional info, such as private cell to the card field after scanning, unless I write it on the card very legibly... 3. Program does not discern between fax/phone/cell or ISO9001 #s... 4. Program does not know, how to handle 2 addresses on one card.5. you can export data to your phone and Excel, but it exports it strangely and does not combine with existing data.
3 ★The scanning is pretty accurate even with German language. Only thing which is really not a good solution is the contact save feature. It does not check if a similar contact is already present so you cannot just update / merge it always creates new entries. I wish there would be a merge / complete feature instead.
3 ★Bought the lifetime version. Good App but: 1. card back side image scan data is not digitised! 2. No facility to add fields after scanning!! 3. Multiple Telephone numbers get bunched in one field. Unable to cut and paste the numbers also since new fields cannot be added when editing! 4. No distinction between mobile, telephone & fax numbers! These features are available in many similar Apps and hence hope Covve will add these MUST HAVE features .. thanks
5 ★Love it. It actually works pretty accurately. I had tons of business cards and scanned them all in pretty quickly. The app let's you put the info directly into your contacts You can only store 5 in the app or it asks you to pay. But, it is really worth not typing all that info into my contacts.
1 ★Misleading, it will only scan 10 cards and then you have to pay. No where after installing was i told this is the case, if the app told me at the start i probably would have paid, and at least i would have known its a trial. You need to have a countdown on every free scam so people know they only have 10. This is misleading as you dont realise its not free until its too late and you have wasted time on it.
4 ★Yeah initially I had given negative review because this app was not free. But this app is totally worth it. It's a finest card reader app I tried & tested. Buisness people should opt for it though it's little expensive. Only 10 contacts you can scan in free version for more you need a paid account. It should be free without some premium features to individuals or non-business users or at least lower price for one time purchase should have been availed. Those looking for free app stay away.
5 ★Best out of all of its competitors. I recently downloaded them all, and Wow. Pretty accurate, and if there is a mistake, it's primarily small and due to a one off card. This is going to be very helpful for me. I also downloaded their CRM app, but have not committed to it just yet due to cost. Thanks for this app!
3 ★I saw someone else having issues with keeping track of cards. Why does it store exported cards, or only offers the the option to export all of the cards and not specific groups. You said you can tag cards, however this does not make any difference in exporting cards. Please either make it possible to mass delete cards that you don't want anymore, or make it possible to just export certain cards or groups of cards. Otherwise i like the app, 15 for unlimited usage seems like a fair deal to me, compared to other apps that offer monthly subscriptions for software that misrecognizes fields, iv'e tried CamCard and Abbyy, and was not very satisfied with my results. With this one i get very accurate results, but it lacks this crucial functionality that others currently provide. Not really sure how to proceed with this one.
