Both Services require purchasing a kit and submitting a saliva sample using the collection kit provided. You can log into your account to track the progress of your sample. Once you get your results, open your app to view all your reports.

5 ★I have just sent out my test kit. So far the app is very easy to use and not overwhelming with information, just right in its ability to give you important information and ease of use. For more of a science buff sometimes i prefere more detailed and complex info but i can give that up for a hassle free no bs app as i also like direct and to the point approaches.
5 ★Never had any issues with app. The info is general but definitely interesting. Fun to think about the path my ancestors took to get me where I am today and the possibilities of who I might be related to around the world.
5 ★DNA Tree still needs work, but you know that. Otherwise I like the concept. All tools of discovery are appreciated. Tech support is great once understanding your issue. Over all 23 is well worth having.
4 ★Could have a better messaging system. The app has a lot of functionality.
5 ★Exceptional app and company. They provide you with information you wouldn't even think of as being relevant. In addition, they continually keep you updated with new family members and health research.
4 ★I love the information 23andMe provides. Sometimes it can be tricky to navigate the UI, but overall I am still pleased with the app/service and would recommend.
3 ★My main complaint is that people who share ancestry do not share where they are from, what surnames, anything at all to go on. It's like, you share these half identical DNA segments, good luck getting in touch with this person or finding out anything to actually put them on your family tree. People probably don't share or talk to anyone because they are afraid that someone is just fishing for their identity. A verified user guarantee would help interactions.
4 ★Good but I wish I could search relatives by haplogroup. I know it's not very reliable, but for people like me missing pieces from our family trees, it would help research when following lines.
5 ★Easily navigated, concise, full of so much information! I opted to be a part of research and the surveys were easy to find and complete!
5 ★Excellent app for finding, communicating with unmet extended family. Has put me in touch with several distant relatives with whom I have exchanged photographs and writings for which I no longer have any need.
4 ★Only 4 stars for now because I'm still waiting on results to give a full review but so far it's great. I love doing the surveys when I'm bored. Excited to see if the rest of the process is as satisfactory.
3 ★This is a great idea, though the service and final products are jumbled and has multiple issues that remains to address in proper way, i have reservations although it has a purpose and I award a 3 star rating for unresolved issues .
