Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Minus a star, money has come out of my account when I hadn't had the app for a long time and didn't use any scooter on the dates shown, I am very dissatisfied as I emailed about my issue and I got no advice, no refund, no explanation.Just a sorry and ten free minutes ride time. I would NOT recommend this service as it is UNTRUSTWORTHY and DODGY!!
1 ★Couldn't use the scooter because it said I had an unpaid ride yet history said I haven't used it before. Called the 0800 number to try and sort, recorded a message and no answer. I understand paying for a ride but the app didn't allow for this. Uninstalled, reinstalled and added new payment method and still couldn't pay. If I wanted to dodge paying I would have just downloaded another scooter app.
1 ★When I was setting up the app, it prompted me to enter my credit card details. So I did. Then the app asked me to enter my credit card details again. So I did. And then it asked me again. This meant I was not able to ridea scooter at all. Disappointing.
5 ★Superb app and attractive, uncluttered user interface. Flamingo are now my preferred scooter in Auckland, primarily because they are scattered throughout the suburbs, not just clustered around the CBD as is the case with the other scooter companies. Also, loving the no unlocking fee at the moment!
4 ★It seems good but when I started it up it states that there is no unlocking fee within certain areas but when I click on a scooter that is within the zone it says $1 unlocking fee. $1 isn't a lot but that's not the point.
1 ★Not impressed at all so far. failed to send sms, several times, then told me to try again 'in a few minutes' several times and quite a few mins later...still waiting...in the rain I might add.... Guess I'm going citrusy based, that was easy....
3 ★Ok but not at all happy with the payment card management. Help says you can swipe to remove a card but doesn't work (maybe that works on iOS?). If your card expires, and you enter the new one you can't tell which one is which due to the same card number. Please sort this out.
4 ★Smoother ride than a Lime scooter. I like that there is a flock of Flamingos 2 min walk from my house. However, helmet was missing, and I'm not a fan of the thumb operated throttle and brake. I already have RSI in both thumbs from texting etc. A rev throttle and handle brake would be nicer to operate.
2 ★the recent ap update deleted almost all my free trial I got when I signed up. I had 12 free unlocks from referrals, and 33 free minutes from early sign up vouchers, and after the update I now have 0 free unlocks and only 15 free trial minutes. I hadn't had a chance to try it yet, feeling disappointed I now lost all my free unlocks from my friend referrals :( no more referrals from me....
1 ★Just installed the app and tried to login, but it didn't let me - said to try in a few minutes. I was waiting half an hour under cold rain, but still no luck. Called twice to customer support, but all they suggested - to wait another hour..
2 ★ok scooter, terrible brakes. You need 100m or so to stop this scooter from top speed. The back brake is mandatory not optional if you want any control at all and the electronic front brake has absolutely no guts at all.
1 ★I had downloaded the app after looking at an advertisement about 20 minute free ride on flamingo scooters which I didnt recieve as I had downloaded the app on 5th September, 2019 and used it for the very first time in the same evening and was charged NZ $5.05. Also got a bad experience while driving the scooter as it had no breaks in the scooter, I fell off the scooter once and dashed into a pedestrian the second time. I feel I have been conned!
