1 ★App needs fixing. The only reason I place an order is because I don't have time to go to the store sometimes. So after placing my order someone from food lion is asking to substitute items through text the whole time, I mines as well go there myself if I have to stay by my phone to make every choice. But the best part is most the time I'll ask for another brand and they don't even have it in stock. Hopefully these will get fixed
1 ★I shop at Food Lion on a regular basis. It is local, the stores are laid out in a similar fashion from one to the next. It is a great place to pick up mid range consumable items, as well as other household necessities. As for this app...it is one of the worst I have ever seen for a major company. With over 1000 stores, there simply isn't any excuse for such a pathetic tie in to their market. After working on many apps as a developer myself, I can tell you there is little effort exerted here.
5 ★Just slow starting.
1 ★I go through the process of ordering groceries...through the app. Just to be told to sign in, I'm in my app, why doesn't that automatically sign me in? Whatever, I sign in (or attempt to) only to find out I do not know either my user name or password...long story short finally got signed in my cart is empty. Screw this app. Oh and BTW the password requirement is more involved than my bank's 🙄
4 ★Usually the service is quick & friendly and the app is great. Very easy to find items and schedule a pickup time since delivery is unavailable in my area. My 1 concern is that sometimes theyll5say items are out but if I go in the store, I can see the item is in fact available.
4 ★It's improving, so I will update. Might give it five stars if the instacart shopper would use my Shop and Earn points, or if we could get fried chicken via the app, ha. :)
1 ★My bill came to around 131 after taxes and the 1.99 fee. I got a comfirmation email showing the same price. However,... my bank was debited 155. No where was there anything said the price would go 25 dollars higher. And before foodlion blames instacart. THEY chose them to handle the middleman spot. In my mind foodlion lied to me. They should refund the overcharge and then handle the issue with THEIR business partner. I did business with foodlion not instacart. Foodlion took my money.
1 ★Okay So My Pickup Price Including PICKUP FEE Is $35. So Whyyy Was My Card Charged $45??? I Called Foodlion And This Guy Said That Instacart Takes Out A Higher Amount Just Incase "substitutions" Are Needed And After The Transaction Is Picked Up Then Will Refund The Difference. 1. That Does Make Any Mf Sense. 2. That Sketchy As Hell And I'm Never Doing Pickup With Food Lion Again.
1 ★Tried to download mobile app on my phone, would never open. Google / Play acknowledged Food Lion app as being installed on phone. Read other reviews posted by other customers. November 2020 reviews were the same issues I also had.
1 ★App is hard to get around in and you can't edit or add anything to the cart once you place the order and it can't be used to check in at the store I can go in and get my stuff in the time it takes to use the app
