Esta aplicación calcula la sección de cables de baja tensión mediante los criterios térmico y de caída de tensión conforme al Reglamento Electrotécnico para Baja Tensión español y a la norma internacional IEC 60364-5-523.Se basa en el método exacto que tiene en cuenta la temperatura real del conductor: Tras encontrar la mínima sección comercial válida para la máxima temperatura admisible del aislamiento, recalcula la conductividad del material para la temperatura real del conductor en esa sección, probando de nuevo si con esta nueva conductividad admite una sección inferior.
El proceso permite iterar las veces necesarias hasta encontrar la sección final asegurando una sección no sobredimensionada.
