《公孙龙子》是中国先秦时期名家的主要代表公孙龙的重要著作。《汉书·艺文志》著录《公孙龙子》14 篇; 《隋书·经籍志》名家类中没有著录《公孙龙子》，但在道家中著录有《守白论》一卷。这个《守白论》就是《公孙龙子》，因为《公孙龙子》说过：公孙龙子“守白之论”（《迹府篇》）。该书是研究公孙龙哲学观点和逻辑思想的重要史料。公孙龙（前320年－前250年），传说字子秉，战国时期赵国人，曾经做过平原君的门客，名家的代表人物，其主要著作为《公孙龙子》，西汉时共有14篇，唐代时分为三卷，北宋时遗失了8篇，至今只残留6篇，共一卷。其中最重要的两篇是《白马论》和《坚白论》，提出了“白马非马”和“离坚白”等论点，是“离坚白”学派的主要代表。与他齐名的是另一名家惠施。
《汉书·艺文志》中收录了[2] 十四篇，后来多数散失，《隋书。经籍志》只在“道家”下列《守白论》。《公孙龙子》原有14篇，但现在只保存下来了六篇。第一篇《迹府》也是后人搜集的有关他的事迹，其他五篇基本上可以肯定是公孙龙所作。作为名家的代表人物，他以“白马非马”论和“离坚白”而著名，他的这些思想分别见于《白马非马论》和《坚白论》中，这是公孙龙名辨思想的核心内容。在《公孙龙子》一书中，公孙龙主要研究了概念的内涵和外延，以及事物的共性和个性所具有的内在矛盾，他的特点就是夸大这种矛盾，并否认两者的统一，所以最后得出违背常理的结论。即白马不是普通所说的马，颜色中的白色和质地的坚硬他也人为地分裂开来论述。
