الحمد لله، وسلام على عباده الذين اصطفى. هذه جملة من العيوب التي من علمها كان خبيرا بآداب المؤاكلة، وعدتها أحد وثمانون عيبا حسبما نقلناه مفرقا، والله الموفق، وهي:

الحكاك: وهو الذي يحك رأسه وموضعا في بدنه بعد غسل يده وقبل الأكل؛ فقد حكى بعضهم أن رجلا غسل مع المأمون يده، وأبطأ الطعام، فسبقته يده إلى رأسه، فقال له المأمون: أعد غسل يدك، فغسلها ثم لم يلبث أن سبقت يده إلى لحيته، فقال له: أعد غسلها، قال: ولا يلي غسل اليد إلا الخبز.
