قال الله تعالى :
{ يا أيها الذين آمنوا قوا أنفسكم و أهليكم نارا وقودها الناس و الحجارة عليها ملائكة غلاظ شداد لا يعصون الله ما أمرهم و يفعلون ما يؤمرون }
و قال تعالى : { فاتقوا النار التي وقودها الناس و الحجارة أعدت للكافرين }
و قال تعالى : { و اتقوا النار التي أعدت للكافرين }
و قال تعالى : { فأنذرتكم نارا تلظى }
و قال تعالى : { لهم من فوقهم ظلل من النار و من تحتهم ظلل ذلك يخوف الله به عباده يا عباد فاتقون }
و قال تعالى : { وما هي إلا ذكرى للبشر * كلا والقمر * والليل إذ أدبر * والصبح إذا أسفر * إنها لإحدى الكبر * نذيرا للبشر * لمن شاء منكم أن يتقدم أو يتأخر }
قال الحسن في قوله تعالى { نذيرا للبشر } قال : و الله ما أنذر العباد بشيء قط أدهى منها خرجه ابن أبي حاتم
