2 ★So far I'm not impressed. Just started a free trial, and haven't gotten through one show without it buffering, or stopping all together on Roku Ultra. The price is nice, and so is the UI, but I can't deal with the constant buffering issues. I will giveit a few more days, and of the problems persist, I will not continue with a subscription.
4 ★Absolutely LOVE LOVE this app. Not only does it have a fabulous channel line up, it records all the shows and n Movies i love with what seems like endless space .I love it! I wish it had a better account settings and billing spot on the app. Kinda hard to find billing cycle, device logins, and terms and conditions info. I have tried all the other apps with live tv access.. you tube tv, hulu live as well as disney plus. Location access problems and pricy fees are a thing of the past with Philo..
1 ★Wow, this is the worst streaming service I've ever had, yet just years ago it was the best. To start off, it's impossible to view the content they have. They don't have a page for their content, rather a popular page and the love tv page, but nothing for on-demand. Second, you used to be able to watch every season of most shows, but now you can barely go back a couple episodes. And what is up with the 2 minute ads on a $25 service? YouTube's 30 second ads don't look so bad anymore. And it's FREE
5 ★Finally an Android app! Installed, entered my number, and works perfectly! UI is well laid out, and steak quality is perfect! FYI - for those looking for Casting ability (especially those with a Pixel phone), you are aware that you can cast ANYTHING from your phone, regardless if a specific app doesn't have the option, aren't you? If your e not aware, pull down from the top of your screen, and select the pen icon - the Cast option is there. Happy streaming!!
5 ★Great affordable service. The addition of Starz and Epix is a nice option. Nice clean interface. Highly recommend if you aren't too worried about sports channels. It's a great compliment to services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney+ etc and an over the air antenna. I can always find something to watch with the channel lineup. With Starz there are plenty of movies to fire up. Keeping it at the $20 price but adding maybe a few more add-on options would be a good strategy going forward.
5 ★Great app! To address what others are complaining about: I have vision issues and I can see everything just fine, there are the same amount of ads as every other streaming app. And this one is significantly less in price! IF YOU DONT WANT ADS DONT WATCH LIVE TV. Philo is excellent, highly recommend! So easy to record and you can record as much as you want for 30 days! If you dont watch it by then, you probably weren't going to watch it anyway!
4 ★Great for watching TV, but recently getting to the menu quickly is gone on Fire stick and cleaning up the DVR is a pain. It was bad before but it's way worse now for some reason. Please consider putting an option to select multiple saved programs at once and "unsave" them without having to go into each one and then be forced back to the top of the list again.
1 ★I used to love Philo! No problems before and was very happy with the subscription until all the streaming services Philo offers on Xbox One and series x freezes, buffers for more than 10 minutes, and then refuses to play and says "try again later". All GO apps, discover GO, ID GO, travel channel GO and all GO apps on Xbox one all have the same problems. I try again shortly after, and I'm back at the very beginning of what I was watching. I stopped my subscription.
2 ★Love the show options! That's why I didn't rate it 1 star. The excessive ads are making me want to cancel. It has gotten worse too. A 45 minute show is 2 hours long because of ads! That's beyond ridiculous!! I literally watched 3 minutes of the show and then had over 5 minutes of ads. This is my most expensive streaming service and my other ones are without ads. For this much it should be no ads and make a cheaper option with ads. As soon as I'm done with this show, I'm canceling!!
5 ★Unable to use on my Samsung Galaxy A tablet as of about a week ago. Before that all was well! Now any show I try to watch it tells me it is unplayable and Code 1? There is a help link but clicking on it does nothing! Plays on Roku fine but that app is different. Plays fine on my Galaxy 9+ but the screen is a lot smaller. Help please? Called and spoke with customer service and it was an easy fix! Wish I had thought to try it. Glad it is working again. Love it now as always!
1 ★terrible advertisement experience. during an ad, I left my phone to get something done and returned to my phone asleep. on unlock, the show was stopped and the app was sitting in the guide menu. on tapping to resume, i had another 3 minute set of ads to watch again. i tried to scroll seek to the point at which i left off and the 3 minute ads restarted back from the beginning again. going to live allowed me to skip those ads for the time being, but i missed a chunk of the show. twitch does better
3 ★I love the different channels and that I can either stream live or have my favorite shows saved and recorded. The ads can be a bit excessive, between 2 to 10 minutes, and God forbid you happen to try to skip them; you're forced to watch them from the beginning. Also, if I try to *rewatch* a program, instead of it starting from the beginning, it'll start about 75% in, so I manually have to restart it. *Response from provider clearly has nothing to do with what is written.
