3 ★I was able to get one local news channel. Better than none, I guess, but with no Chromecast option there really is no point.
4 ★Generally works very well and covers a wide range of networks and stations.
2 ★As a few others have said, if you like the *idea* of this app, but hate the current version, search & find version 1.6.1 and load that (and disable updates on Google Play). You will have settings to choose your resolution, chromecast support and the ability to pause, FF, REW or start from the beginning on live broadcasts. I don't understand how they could strip SO much functionality from the old version and call it an "upgrade". Current version is pretty much complete garbage.
1 ★The previous app worked far better with my tablet. Video quality is now very low, and I miss being able to rewind and fast forward 'live' broadcasts. Also, the map was easier to use rather than 'stations by state' selection. I now must close your app just to change broadcast channels. The new app LOOKS NICE, but that's about it. Sorry, but the previous app was a 4plus. It's now nearly unuseable. I'm now forced to look at other options/apps. Sorry, it looks like a giant leap backwards.
1 ★Nothing but circles. I live in the 2nd biggest city in Michigan and yet it's unable to find any local channels. Not one channel.
1 ★The previous 1.6.1 version was great - worked with all my devices, HD quality, you could watch newscasts from the current or previous day, and you could cast to your Chromecast. Now the quality is terrible, doesn't work with any of my devices, you can only watch the current day's newscasts, and you can't cast anymore. Why is a so-called "upgrade" such a downgrade? Makes no sense at all. I give up.
2 ★Mirroring much of what has already been said, the developers took a great app and removed nearly everything that made it excellent: live DVR, Chromecast functionality, short-term archive of multiple newscasts, the list goes on. I wish I could understand what made anyone think these changes were a good idea, but needless to say, they're simply a bust.
2 ★Was a great app until update. Big isssue is what everyone else is saying: can no longer cast from app. Video quality is not what it use to be, either. Live cast last an hour and have to restart live stream for next hour. Will adjust rating when castings comes back. Shouldn't sacrafice functionality for new look and layout. Don't guess what users want and value, ask instead! Cover all your customer personas. Its the Agile way!
4 ★I like the fact that no matter what time I want to access the news it (due to many options) is available. It always have very popular channels in your area. the only reason I did not rate a 5 was because of the sound and repeat glitches. over all great work developers.
1 ★I really like the app but eversince the recent update, I am not able to Chromecast on both my Android and Apple devices. I also cannot rewind or fast forward on live streams anymore. I rely on both these features because of my vision and in case I missed a segent or misheard what the anchors are saying. Please bring back and I will rate higher. Thanks!
1 ★This app for the Roku is horrible. The app interrupts the news with commercials ahead of the normal breaks in the programming. When the normal breaks in the programming take place, your stuck watching a "We'll be right back after this break" splash screen. Viewers would be better served buying an indoor antenna, or downloading the app from the local affiliate to watch the morning news.
2 ★The update today looks nice, but where the heck did the option to change the video quality go??? I watch the news on this app every morning, have been for 1 year now. I can no longer change the quality to HD so it's all fuzzy. Im going to have to look for another app it seems. :(
