Description
장석교회를 소개합니다.1954년 10월 23일 영락교회 여전도회 협력으로 석관동 소재의 공청을 빌어 대한예수교 장로회 석관동 교회로 출발, 1958년 6월 29일에 초대 장균재 목사가 부임하였습니다. 그해 7월 24일에 장위동 69-72로 이전하여 40 평 규모의 작은 교회당 건물을 짓고, 교회 이름을 장석교회로 바꾸었습니다.
그후 1969년 7월 13일에 제2대 조영택 목사가 부임, 다시 372평 교회당을 건립하고, 교세를 확장하여 나갔습니다. 1985년 3월 19일 제3대 이용남 목사가 부임하여, 노원구 월계4동 873-1에 3500 여 평의 한국 고유의 고전미를 부각시킨 새로운 양식의 아름다운 새성전을 건축하여, 인근 월계 지역은 물론 서울을 비롯한 한국과 아시아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 생명의 방주로서의 구실을 잘 감당하였습니다. 그리고 2012년 7월 8일에 제4대 함 택 목사가 부임하여 창립 60주년을 위한 60년사 편찬, 60주년 행사와 리모델링의 사역을 하였습니다.
현재는 제5대 이승현 목사가 2021년 5월 2일 부임하여 예배와 말씀과 기도에 집중하고 있으며, 선교와 섬김으로 세상에 예수 그리스도의 사랑을 전하는 사역에 집중하고 있습니다. 더욱 성도됨과 교회됨에 집중하며 하나님이 주인 되시는 교회, 교회다운 교회, 좋은 교회를 위하여 전진하고 있습니다.
