O nome Tertúlia veio em função da própria definição de Aurélio Buarque de Hollanda Ferreira: reunião de parentes e amigos ou assembleia literária. A primeira definição é a que melhor se encaixa nessa escolha – parentes e amigos.
Foi com essas pessoas, das famílias Araújo, Arbo, que, em busca de algo diferente em nossa região, em nossa cidade, resolveram fazer um pouco daquilo que gostam e amam – o rádio, meio de comunicação insubstituível.
A Tertúlia Web está localizada na Rua Presidente Rodrigues Alves, 25-A, no Bairro Érico Veríssimo, em Três Passos, Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil.

O símbolo da Tertúlia Web, representado por uma ave – Arara, veio da ideia de Darci Bindé de Araújo e seu filho, Vinicius Bindé Arbo de Araújo. Juntando os sobrenomes ARbo e ARAujo, surge o nome ARARA, uma ave da família dos Psittacidae, como o papagaio, periquitos e outros. Fala muito alto (imitações), é muito bonita, imponente, porém, encontra-se ameaçada de extinção. Suas penas são azuis, amarelas, verdes e brancas – cores da bandeira nacional.
