A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★nice hardware. But the app is not supported anymore at all since Android 4. Velleman is obviously still not up to speed with software development and what the benefits of open source are. shame on you Velleman!
1 ★One star. It worked once, and only for about 10 seconds. Also, the source code link in the description hasn't been updated for years and is outdated.
1 ★This App, as others have commented, is total rubbish (or is it the device that is rubbish?) and Velleman seem to have no interest whatsoever is updating/fixing it or indeed in supporting customers of their products. I have been unable to connect on two Android Tablets (one running Android 4.0.0 and another Android Tablet running Android 4.4.2). I can make occasional (and I mean VERY occasional!) WIFI connection on my Lenovo laptop running Windows 8.1 but hey, the selling point was that this was the worlds first oscilloscope that could be used with Android tablets. It is very telling that this App has not been updated since 2014 despite the volume of problems & complaints. Who would have thought that? Velleman could be so disintersted. Wish I could give this 0 stars.
1 ★App doesn't work on my android 5 tablet. Play store says the app is not compatible my Android 6 phone. On my tablet the app loads, sometimes I get a network connection to the device but it fails within a minute. When connected some data is picked up and displayed but the display locks within a few seconds and doesn't recover. Had trouble connecting wirelessly from Windows7. Works with usb cable connected. But you can get cheaper windows/USB/DSOs.
