Your phone or tablet must be connected to the same wireless network as your VIZIO devices to use certain features of the mobile app. Select features of VIZIO Mobile require a free VIZIO Account.

VIZIO Crave Speakers cannot output audio from TVs/displays or be connected as an additional channel to an existing sound bar or sound system. Additional supported SmartCast or Chromecast-enabled audio products are required (not included) for Multi-Room feature. Streaming different songs to different speakers at the same time is not supported when using a single app running on a single mobile device. To stream a different song to different speakers at the same time, you’ll need to stream from a different app or a separate mobile device.

1 ★Just bought a p-series soundbar and the app is terrible. It always reloads when entering the app. Even if I have the app open and switch, for a second to another and come back, it has to find the device again and that's a 50/50 chance of happening. I can't find my brand new sound bar to add to a chromecast group. Edit: I've returned the 5.1.4. Elevate to Best Buy because of the issues. I'm not spending time on support to hook something up that should be plug and play.
1 ★The hoops you need to jump through because the physical remote to your television is missing basic functions are baffling and infuriating. Better still, the companion app has rapidly deteriorated into a forgotten relic. Gone are the days of simply using your device as intended out of the box. Device relegated to pricey night light. The final time I will purchase a Vizio product, without question.
5 ★04/2023: Two Stars. Always stops working. It just won't recognize that I'm connected to the same wifi sometimes. It's always given trouble. When they updated it worked for a bit ... And then stopped again. Smh. Edit 09/07/2023: Five Stars. Usability is much better these days (at least for now). Everything seems to work fine and without lag. Great job on the improvements Team Visio. Please keep it up.
1 ★I'm sorry but this app is awful. Always connection issues. I have to completely reload the app if I go out if it at any point. The newest update won't even turn my TV on now. My TV has to already be on for it to even halfway work, and even then it's still not connecting to my TV. I got to Disney+ and then it kept telling me it couldn't connect. Awful app.
1 ★Updates have removed the Smart part of my TV. My TV is around 6 years old, the only smart feature it even had was built in ChromeCast. I now can't even use that, because the app needs the TV to be connected to the wifi to access the settings, which I can't do because I need to use the app to connect my TV to the wifi. Good job making your product obsolete! The contact support button doesnt even work!
1 ★Have always enjoyed app, but this latest version has many issues with connecting to both TV and Soundbar that has worked flawlessly previously. Now, connectivity is unreliable, power button in app is useless. Have cleared app cache, removed BT connection, uninstalled app, power down and unplugged power to both TV and soundbar. Then reinstalled app, gone through setup, 3 times and still does not work properly.
1 ★This app no longer connects to my TV, an E55-D0 that was connected just fine to the old app before the redesign. The only reason I need access to the remote via the app is bc I need to adjust the sound settings. The sound is coming thru both my soundbar and the internal tv speakers, and this TV comes with a very simplified physical remote w/ no settings key, so I can't turn off the tv speaker. Update: I was able to connect using the iOS version just fine!! Phew. Need to fix the android version!
1 ★Whatever clowns designed this application and the firmware for their TVs should no longer be allowed to develop. D48-D0 TV literally cannot be set up and also won't allow you to change inputs after a factory reset without a little piece of garbage remote. No options button. So even though I have a working Chromecast I can't use it now. VERY funny. You think maybe you be able to connect to the set up signal and complete the setup from there. Guess I go get to buy a uni remote, thanks. Useless.
1 ★Can't connect error. So I paired my TV and enjoyed some television and wanted to pause to use the bathroom and I can't. I receive the can't connect error. I've deleted the cache, deleted the data, uninstalled it, and reinstalled it, and it won't pair. I've tested my internet and it's working. I am using the same SSID and wifi band on my phone and the TV. I got my laptop out and found my TV's IP address. Yes, it's working with my home router. I had my laptop ping the TV's IP Address no issue
1 ★Unable to connect to my TV after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, trying to connect automatically AND manually. Then get this- UNABLE TO CONTACT SUPPORT? You guys really dropped the ball on this one. The volume on my TV being stuck at 10 isn't enough for me to go spend $15 on ANOTHER remote. Ridiculous. This is a shell of an app with the Vizio branding slapped on it.
1 ★Edit: FREQUENT TV discinnects, can't control them I just bought 3 TV, do not advertise to me, I do not care about Ted Lasso. Only 2 stars because the app does work ok although controlling multiple TVs is awkward, which is a shame because the remotes you gave me get crossed bad with the 2 in the same room. If I have to use your app, for a product I paid for, do not have the gall to throw ads in my face. Congrats on having all notifications blocked. Edit: the update says "opt in" it is NOT opt in
1 ★Tried to use this app to mirror cast from my android phone to my Vizio TV (model V405-G9). I have a cable connecting the TV to the phone (HDMI on one end into TV, USB-C plug into the phone). The app won't work unless both the phone and TV have a wi-fi internet connection. If I had wi-fi internet, I wouldn't need to mirror downloaded movies from Hoopla or Netflix, I would just have the TV connect to them directly. All these mirroring phone apps are this way - they won't use a cable.
