View Camera for Android is a mobile device based EdgeVis encoder using the built-in and external cameras, allowing remote-users to provide situational awareness to control rooms within seconds.View Camera only works in combination with the View Server. Please do not download this application if you do not have access to the View Server.
View Camera allows the user to transmit a live video stream using the camera built into the user's device along with supported external cameras. Features include:
- Ability to use, and switch between, both front, rear and external cameras
- Automatic communications failover between Wi-fi and mobile networks (based on the devices standard communications mechanism)
- Ability to configure the video bit rate and frame size/dimensions of the encoded stream
- Live GPS location transmitted alongside video stream
- Full-resolution enhancement capability (with adjustable quality level)
- Support for landscape and portrait orientation
- Virtual Pan Tilt Zoom (VPTZ) to remotely zoom into the source image
- Ability to continue transmission when the app isn't running and when the phone screen is turned-off
