がちんこホームラン大会は、野球のホームラン競争のゲームで、甲子園を舞台に、他のライバル高校に打ち勝っていくのが目的です！自分(打者)以外に投手も育てることが可能です(自分は投球操作はしません)。能力は下げることが可能で、経験値はためておくことも可能です。
魔球をメインに押し出してはいませんが、従来にない魔球も多く登場します。
要望の多かった左打ちへの対応に加え、スイッチも選択可能になりました。
称号は従来より種類は変更され、引き続き設けられています。
ダウンロード直後に出ない隠し高校の要素もあります。
ホームランを何本打ったか(従来同等)、どれだけホームランを飛ばしたか以外に、大会優勝をどれくらいの得失点差で優勝したかをネットランキングで競えます。
