Description
윷의 유래와 윷점윷놀이는 한웅천왕 시절 한역의 움직임을 가르치기 위하여 신지혁덕에게 명하여 만든 놀이로 사희柶戱라고 하였다.
즉 북극오성은 윷이 되고, 놀이판은 29수 별자리가 된다. 29수는 동방5수, 서방5수, 남방5수, 북방5수로 나누고, 사각의 공간에 열십자로 된 대각선 하나가 곤방인 서남방에서 간방인 동북방으로 가로지르고, 다른 하나는 건방인 서북방에서 손방인 동남방으로 가로지른다.
28수 별자리에서 북극성을 추가하여 29성이 된다.
28수 별자리 위를 북극오성이 운행하도록 만든 것이 바로 윷말의 도 개 걸 윷 모 이다.
윷놀이가 정초에 행해 졌으며 그 결과 또한 천차만별로 나오는 만큼 옛 선조들은 윷을 던져 나오는 결과로 점을 치기도 하였다. 원래 시작은 점을 보기 위함보다는 젊은이들에게 윷을 던지게 하고 그 결과에 따라 웃어른들이 덕담을 해주는 것이 시작이었다.
현재에 명맥이 이어 지지는 않으나 18세기말 유득공이 지은 경도 잡지에 그 내용이 소개가 되어 있다.
점을 보기 위해서는 윷을 세 번 던지며 그 결과에 따라 64개의 결과가 나오게 된다.
이는 주역의 64궤와 같은 숫자로 주역이 한역에서 비롯되었다는 것을 의미한다.
