Copy text from ANYWHERE on your phone. Use this to have copy paste functionality from ANY app or screen!

**If you are upgrading from a previous version, please UNINSTALL the app and then REINSTALL. A simple update will not work.**

"Copy Text" is an application that lets you copy text of ANYTHING on your phone and into your clipboard. Then, paste it into any text box by long-pressing on it. This application works on ALL phones.

ROOT IS NOT REQUIRED

This application is the non-root version of the popular application, "Copy Paste It". If you have a rooted phone, please download "Copy Paste It" instead.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING:

This application will instruct you to download and install a free desktop application on your Windows or Mac. Once installed, you must run the desktop application with your phone attached to your computer. This will enable screenshots on your phone.

Once you've done this, you can disconnect your phone and copy text whenever you want. However, every time you restart your phone, you'll have to connect it to your computer and run the desktop application again. If you restart your phone frequently, this app may not be for you, as it may prove to be too inconvenient.

Your phone will NOT be rooted or temp-rooted in any way. No system files on your phone will be altered.

How to install Copy Text APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download Copy Text APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK

Go to Downloads

Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files

5 ★After reading several reviews, it would appear that most of the reviewers did NOT read and/or follow the instructions. In fact, most of the issues people seem to have with apps in general are a result of having a cheap droid. Also, most users don't understand that due to limitations of the hardware or the version of Android you're running have their limits. I am by no means a developer. However, I have been building, fixing and working with things like networks and other computer hardware for years. So I (as a user) understand why things don't always work to the expectations of your average user. You guys need to get over yourselves. This developer has made a very decent piece of software. It would be great if somehow a scroll feature could be added to the copy area so that if you have a great deal of text (I'm visually impaired so I use it for speech). But folks, bottom line. This is an excellent app for what it does. So try reading the directions for once. There's no need to trash the developer because YOU won't take the time to follow instructions.

5 ★I tried the Copy-Paste-It app and found that I needed to Root my Moto Razr Maxx to use this app. Since I have not done this, am not going to, the next option was to try Copy Text also by Edward Kim. The installation went exactly as it was supposed to and the app will copy any text it can see. Beautiful! Yes, you need to find the correct driver for your phone. You will need that for other apps. Once installed, Copy Text will capture just about anything. I even copied text directly from a home screen. Once initiated, the copy box opens in 3 sec. You move it over the text you want, resize it to include what you need, and hit COPY. That's it. Does everything that it says it will. Love it.

5 ★I was very apprehensive about purchasing this app since I was not sure whether or not it would work on my phone (LG Optimus Elite). I am happy to report that Copy Text works great and is very easy to use once everything has been setup. If there were some way to avoid having to re-enable it every time I reboot my phone, it would be perfect. I can only assume that this is due to a limitation within Android, so I cannot blame the developer. However, it would be wonderful if there were an easier way to enable the app; otherwise, I'm very satisfied. Thank you Edward Kim!

1 ★Useless app because it takes about two mins. For the crop box to appear. I emailed the developer but no solution until now. Why this app does not even have trial version? Seems like all dev wants is money. 6.99 for an app which is so slow to respond is ridiculous.

4 ★I tried the Copy Paste-it Trial version first, to find out that my phone was not rooted apparently - still haven't worked out what that means :) - so got the Copy Text instead. Made a complete hash of the installation process and had to email the developer for help. He was great, sending a link for the required drivers within just an hour or two and then I was up and running. Good App, just a bit complicated to get set up, but it does what it says on the tin
