Description

Medical ID allows creating medical profiles that are accessible from the lock screen of your device. In case of emergency, the app enables quick access to vital information such as your allergies, blood type, medical contacts, etc. that are essential to attending first responders, medics, or medical staff having to take action.

This is the premium version of the app. It enables all features:

 • Quick access to medical information from your lock screen.
 • Emergency alert feature to send SMS in one click (with your estimated location).
 • Location sharing with emergency contacts even when the app is closed (for up to 24 hours or until you stop sharing).
 • Direct emergency contacts call from the lock screen without having to unlock.
 • Backup feature to trigger manually.
 • Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation.
 • Current location (address, GPS coordinates).
 • Compass.

The display and access of your medical information from your lock screen are made possible via an accessibility service to enable and that is part of the core features of the app. Once enabled, the accessibility service displays a widget over your lock screen. This widget helps people who have disabilities, or first responders in case of emergency, to take action and access medical data.

In emergency situations, a Medical ID could prove to be invaluable to attending medics or other medical personnel providing treatment. Do not wait, turn your Android device into a life-saving tool.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★While it's layout is exactly what I am looking for, I purchased the premium version to have the ability to send alerts to my emergency contacts. Yet, it does not appear to be able to perform that function. No SMS alert button, and no emergency call button, even though they are both checked on. If it can, there aren't instructions how to activate and use. I will use this app until I can find another that will perform that necessary function.
4 ★It's a great app & necessary app to have & I recommend it to all my friends! However one improvement I would like to see in the future is an option to upload & store images (such as of driver's licenses & health insurance cards) & important documents (such as advanced directives). Thank you for all your hard work on this app & keeping it up to date!
5 ★This is a great app it is and I am v sure will be many times over a lifesaver. The great thing about the app is its innate simplicity and its elegant interface. You won't find a ton of junk you don't want and have no use for. This is for emergencies and at this it excels. NOTE: To devs. It may be kind of useful to tell folks that all their information will be gone when they upgrade.
5 ★This app did exactly what I needed. It's very difficult to place something on Android lock screen for first responders to be able to access. I have Epilepsy and occasional serious seizures where I can't speak for myself. This app adds peace of mind that if a seizure occurs, my medical history and emergency treatment protocols are right there for both EMT's and doctors to reference. Well worth the money!
4 ★Love this app. It has a free and a paid version. Definitely worth the paid. With the paid version there are No ads and can if synced with contacts, list your emergency contacts at the bottom under medical notes. Then, First responders can call your emergency contacts straight from the app even though phones locked. You can also share your information via email or print. I emailed a copy to each of my emergency contacts just in case. It's also great to print a copy for doctors appointments. The only thing to make this better would be the ability to update it via computer. For someone like me whose meds change a lot due to a complex medical history, it is sometimes hard to make the changes on the phone...
3 ★UPDATE 30/4/19: I've had to down rate this app as its accidentally dialled the police twice in two weeks now in my pocket. It just used to until the update. My phone is locked in my pocket and i'm listening to music, then suddenly someone is asking me "what service do you require?" i quickly apologize and put the phone down. Then today it happened again and the police rang me back to check everything was ok, i told them about the app and they needed to call to close the case. I do not want this happening again as im now on the police records, my name and number of making calls to them. Im not very pleased. Can the Dev sort something out so its not so sensitive? I don't want to get in trouble just due to this app, which is great but this marks it down a lot. OLDER REVIEW: not put it to use thank god, but it's a great app which have all the important info needed if your ill and someone can get into it without unlocking it. hope to see some new features soon.
5 ★This app has been incredibly helpful! I paid for the premium perks and I have zero regrets! Keeping track of over a dozen medications, multiple conditions, and emergency contacts has been a challenge before. Now I'm able to access my information quickly and easily, and I've taught everyone I'm close with how to use the lockscreen feature in case of emergency! I highly recommend getting MedicalID, it's absolutely worth it.
5 ★I love this app. It's been on all my phones since I first found it. I like that it's so basic because it allows me to fill in the information I feel inportant. As someone who is chronically sick it helps me remember what meds I take and I have just opened it up to show my doctors more than once so they can just copy my info. I also love love I can add my family's medical info as well and put a password on it incase you lose your phone. Great if you have kids or a partner with health problems. I would recommend this to anyone!
4 ★A really nice App with lots of useful info for an emergency. I'm using it with a Huawei P20Pro with the Microsoft Launcher: On this phone, the persistent notification method on the lock-screen appears but won't work as tapping it will not open the App unless the phone is unlocked (which it wouldn't normally be in an emergency). Using the overlay method instead does work well provided that you go into the Settings | Battery | App Launch options and set it to manual (so that it can run in the background without being suspended by the OS). A minor point is that the overlay method uses the home screen background, not the lock screen background, which it should. More importantly, there also needs to be an option not to display the overlay when the phone is unlocked (as it is not needed). I use the phone with Face ID to automatically unlock it when you look at the screen and having to dismiss the ICE overlay manually every time is slightly irritating. Sort that out and it would get a fifth star.
4 ★very good app, only problem is all the ads that pop up all the time, even when I'm not using the app. kind of disappointing since I paid for it. ads should be gone were I upgraded, they open and it takes time for them to go away. when you have health issues its not something you want to deal with. if it becomes to bothersome I will have to delete it,
5 ★Awesome app. I got to use it in real life recently : when the ambulance crew started asking questions, I just handed them the phone. Really appreciate the available weight and height conversions -- I was asked several times, it's really handy. One additional feature I'd like to see : attachments. If I could add PDFs of my stent placement cards I could stop stuffing my wallet with them.
5 ★I have a complicated medical history, multiple conditions, and take a plethora of prescriptions, several of which are critical to determining other treatments. I've long carried a written list, but this is a lot better! It took a long time to enter it all, but now it's easy to update. Gives me peace of mind knowing that any first responder or other medical personnel can access the info without having to unlock my phone. My medical ID bracelet tells them where to look!
