2 ★#yyctransitapp ,times are often inaccurate by more than 10 minuets. its cold. app says "leave in 5 min" to walk to bus stop; I don't wait 5min, instead I leave immediately; I get to my stop and app says "wait at stop, bus arrives in 10 min;" app counts down to zero, no bus; 5min go by, no bus...; counter has re set for 30 minutes, apparently Calgary employs magic invisible busses, because apparently i missed the bus and now am waiting for the next bus. This has been a repeated experience.
4 ★This app is excellent. Easily one of the best options for locals or visitors getting around Calgary by transit. It's not perfect and sometimes detects my location wrong - but this has always been the exception not the rule. It is pretty good at predicting buses that are delayed or early and even has great notifications you can set up to keep you alert to when you should head to your stop. Genuinely great job here, I'm impressed.
2 ★Ok this day has been brutal. I had set up a route and all of a sudden it changed to PM and I couldn't find any of the information that was available just moments ago. I strongly advise using the website and not the app, the go function added so much stress to my commute it was insane! Anyways hope it works better for whenever reads this
2 ★Bus coming minutes and actual bus appearance off too often, cant trust it. Instead of tool that tries to calculate arrival time based on where your bus is, why not show the actual scheduled time (something FIXED, not chaning with bus data) and then not whether it's on time, late or early. I'd rather rely on the fixed schedule vs calculation software that fails.
1 ★Not sure if it's due to a recent update or something of the sort but as of late the bus schedule has been absolutely useless. Again, not sure if it is an issue with this app or the city transit itself, but the times posted in the app are often an hour off at least. Even today, it said that 11 buses were coming within 10 mins of one another? And then when checking 20 minutes later it says only one bus has come and won't come again for the next hour. What?
1 ★The app very rarely shows the bus times asides from ones that are 2 hours away. Once the future bus times draw near they disappear. For example It will say "1h6m" until the next bus but then one will come in 3mins. I constantly have to guess when to leave and it's getting extremely frustrating. Ever since the update this barely works. The cities transit already sucks as is, at least make an app that works.
1 ★The best part of this app is the GO option, letting transit riders help each other with actual real time bus locations. Without rider participation the app is about as reliable as Calgary Transit itself (nothing close to reliable). Right now opening the app I see a 17 minute disparity between the home screen arrival times and the selected route number arrival times. Horrible.
1 ★One of the more recent updates completely broke this app, turning it into a useless waste of taxpayers money. searching for bus times is now impossible, it will only ever tell you directions to said bus stop. Searching nearby lines brings up absolutely nothing, I don't want directions to the bus stop I'm standing beside, I want to know the times of that bus stop. as it stands this is a dead on arrival app, don't bother downloading To dev reply, that's literally the part that's broken.
1 ★Don't trust this app if you have to transfer buses. On a regular basis it tells me that the bus I need to transfer to will arrive at the stop at say 13:36. I get off the bus I'm on at say 13:30 just to watch the 13:36 bus already leaving. Options? Wait 40min for the next one or walk 6km. Real time data and schedules are both constantly wrong.
1 ★calgary transit app used to be very useful & user friendly. All I needed was to check time for specific routes by number . If that info is still possible I cannot find it. There is almost no reason why the app ever needs to know my current location. Location/locator feature drains battery on cell in minutes really useless now so I have uninstalled it
1 ★It's the worst! The team that worked on this app needs to fix it immediately! I've missed countless busses whilst using this app, recently it's been tracking busses that you aren't even going on, on top of that all the times are wrong! Please fix this! There are so many people that depend on city transit and it's up to you guys to help that.
1 ★The app isn't updated for changes in stop location (17th ave construction has had some stops moved for months but the app would lead you to believe they're in the same place), and can't seem to consistently keep the schedule up-to-date, even though that's the point of the app.
