هي تشكيل تابع لديوان الوقف الشيعي يعنى بادارة وتسيير شؤون المزارات الشيعية الشريفة في انحاء العراق ، والعناية بها بما يناسب قدسيتها .هي العمارات التي تضم مراقد : مسلم بن عقيل ، ميثم التمار ، كميل بن زياد ، السيد محمد بن الامام الهادي (ع) ، والحمزه الشرقي ، والحمزة الغربي ، والقاسم ، والحر ، واولاد مسلم ، وغيرهم من اولاد الائمة واصحابهم ، والاولياء الكرام من المنتسبين الى مدرسة اهل البيت.تاسست الأمانة العامة للمزارات الشيعية الشريفة استنادأ لقانون ادارة العتبات المقدسة والمزارات الشيعية الشريفة رقم (19) لسنة 2005م من قانون ادارة الدولة العراقية ، ومباركة المرجعية الدينية العليا في النجف الاشرف . تسعى الامانة بالأضافة إلى إدارة ، وتسيير شؤون المزارات الى :1- اعمار وترميم ابنية المزارات ، وتشييد عمارات ملحقة بها مع مراعاة الطابع الاسلامي للعمارة .
2- استلام التبرعات ، والموارد المالية الاخرى ، وصرفها في مواضعها وفق الضوابط الشرعية والقانونية .
3- استثمار الاموال العائدة للمزارات بمختلف الاوجه المتاحة والموافقة لاحكام الشرع الحنيف والقوانين النافدة .
4- تسهيل وتنظيم الزيارات الى المزارات الشريفة .
5- تشخيص وتحديد المزارات الشيعية الشريفة والتعريف بها .
يتكون مقر الامانة العامة في بغداد من مجلس للادارة وعشرة اقسام ، ويتكون مجلس الادارة من رئيس ونائب وخمسة اعضاء ، ويتولى الرئاسة الامين العام للمزارات ، ولكل مزار من المزارات الشيعية المنتشرة في العراق امانة خاصة تابعة للامانة العامة للمزارات.يتولى مجلس الادارة رسم السياسات والخطط والبرامج الادارية والمالية والثقافية ، والاشراف على التشكيلات التابعة للامانة ، وتعيين الامناء الخاصين في كل مزار ونوابهم وثلاثة معاونين للشؤون الادارية والمالية والثقافية لمدة ثلاث سنوات قابلة للتجديد .
