A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Low functionality compared to MyHyundai. Locator is not as exact. Remote start has only one setting.
2 ★When it works it's great, but recently it's been failing more often than not.
2 ★2/23/21 Update: I was able to get the app to work by reverting two versions backwards to 2.3.70. Attention Subaru developers, both 2.3.77 and 2.3.84 have this problem but 2.3.70 does not. Something that you introduced in 2.3.77 is causing the login error on my Pixel 3a and it's still present in 2.3.84, so please fix it before your next release so I can update my app to the latest version. 2/17/21: I literally cannot log into the app. EVERY time I try I get an error message that says "Something went wrong. Please try again later." Every. Single. Time. Even after I reboot my phone. Even after I turn off Wi-Fi to make sure there aren't any firewall issues. Every time.
3 ★I didn't update to the latest version (like the description of the app recommended). A great decision considering how many people are giving bad reviews suddenly. This app is nothing special. It can lock the door, and start the engine most days. It lets you creep on the other drivers of the car with location and speed alerts. It will even tell you your vin (but you can't copy/paste sadly). Really nothing more than rock bottom baseline features. Never once wowed in any way.
3 ★Works, but it needs better feedback. Try to start the car when the doors are unlocked. Nope. Try to lock the doors when the car is started, Nope. Times out and does not return you to the login screen (UGG!). Major app faux pas there guys. I have to close the app entirely and then sign back in (and I don't want to add remember my login creds. I just want the login screen if I am tied out). Also... guys, Some of us don't care for the car locator even if we can find a stolen car. Give an option to turn that off from the Web UI and the app.... it just feels ichy,
1 ★Doesn't work half the time. Keep losing the connection to my phone. Won't start my car most of the time of the time. Have wifi with everything else. Keep getting "something went wrong, try again later"! Really? I pay for this service and can't use it. I don't get it. Wish it had a "vehicle status " report so I would know if my car is locked or lights on for example. Cant make appointments from it. Hyundai app was much easier to use and had more information. Worked all the time. Not a fan!
3 ★I like it. It's very easy, and it has only failed to start my crosstrek once, but that may have been my fault. I do have one request, and I'm begging.. Please give more options for run time. WV mountain winters are cold. Even if it is a single 20 minute cycle so you don't have to go back into the app and enter pin or finger print a second time... Plus if I don't make it out in ten minutes, say 12, most people don't want to do a second start and the snow that melted refreeze's...
5 ★Update 2/11/21 Back to 5 stars. The firewall at work was blocking me. After a couple of weeks of testing it was confirmed to be a firewall issue. No problems since then. It only works 1/10 of the time. I always get: Something went wrong. Try again later. I can never start my car when I need to. I'd also like to use it to schedule service but i can't do that either. Just save yourself the misery and frustration and start your car the old fashioned way and call Subaru for an appt.
3 ★When it's works, it's great. But, when it doesn't it's useless. As right now, I'm getting a "No wifi error." I'm posting this via the very wifi app that isn't working. Strange, huh? If it did work right now, as it has many times in the past, I could make certain my doors were locked. Without having to get out of this nice comfy bed. PS I do love my Subaru. So, fix the app. P.S. I did try stopping the app and reinstalling the app. Still, no luck.
1 ★Since it works one out of every five times I need it -- one star. This app complains about a weak network signal and refuses to load anything beyond the splash screen. The funny thing is that I have full WiFi and LTE signal strength. The Starling app loads and runs while the My Subaru app will not. This app reflects poorly on Subaru and should be rewritten by competent professionals.
5 ★I've been using this App for the past 2 years on my 2019 Crosstrek and now on our 2021 Forester with no problems....always works whether on wifi or Cell service. Yes, it would be nice if it was compatible with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Also, being able to see the door lock status or window open/close status would be nice. I think the problems most people are having aren't with the App itself, but with their cellular service/provider or with their particular model of phone or OS.
1 ★When the app is working, things seem to go relatively smoothly. However, I have encountered an issue a few times where the app simply refuses to open. I have tried clearing local data, the cache, and even uninstalling, yet the error persists. Extremely frustrating and makes it impossible to use remote services
