3 ★A lot better than the original 5 apps but still buggy and the developers have work to do. For example, there's no quick link to chat with onboard friends. Even worse, after you search through sub menus to locate someone there's no chat link and you have to back all the way out. There should be an option to allow a chat client to run in the background. Also, when you try to access your onboard account, half the time it will open your default browser and freeze at your last accessed page.
3 ★Our booking is in my wife's name, and it was more difficult than expected to sign in as myself with my own email address. The ability to see onboard events is nice, but the continual reordering (jumpig) of events in the display area makes it confusing to follow at times. It is handy to bookmark events of interest, but there is no indication on the main event display when 'all events' are shown which events have already been bookmarked. Will see how this app performs on our upcoming cruise.
1 ★So far not impressed. Got everything done, entering all of the info by hand. Everything was done except ordering the medallions, which it wouldn't do. Said network problem. Spent a while on phone with help to learn that the network has issues. Decided to try again, but now say something missing from travel documents, but doesn't say what. All of the info is still there. Shouldn't be this hard!
1 ★If there was a no star rating, that's what I would give this app. I want to book my spa services and my husband's face shows up on MY cell phone and I can't link up to our booking.
1 ★Looks wonderful, but it won't accept our booking number. It only allowed first name/last name when signing up, but I noticed that my booking was first/middle/last name so I thought that might be the problem. I tried to edit my name on the app to insert my middle name, but it wouldn't accept it. So I've blown it away. When Princess get it right I'm sure it will be useful, but until then it sucks.
3 ★Now that the app, finally, let me link our trip, it is proving very useful. While it doesn't show our purchased excursions, it does show all that are available. Probably the coolest feature is the ability to locate friends on board. The chat feature is useless since there is effectively no notification to the recipients. We're using Messenger for chat purposes. The app seems to need a more refinement, but is a big step forward.
1 ★This app is designed to trick old people into giving up personal info and buying things they don't need. It asks for at least 5 totally unnecessary permissions immediately (including "make and manage phone calls"?). Everything looks and feels like an ad and it is very difficult to discern what is actually necessary to fill out for boarding vs what their marketing team wants you to fill out. This app feels like a scam; the fact that it somehow *isn't*, makes me think Princess Cruises is a scam.
1 ★You would think that you would be able to log into your princess account and download all the information like passport, etc. Into the app...NOT....you have to manually enter it all again using a phone keyboard. Certainly a second rate application. It is also full of tracking code and asks for way more access than it needs. Forget about privacy...this app is spyware
3 ★Sign in with booking number - easiest way. Thought I could log in with my normal Princess account. That didn't work. Wanted me to create a new log in. Then wouldn't link my booking. Would send me to a browser page to try to complete travel documents and other info. What a pain. Logged out and tried with booking number and it worked great after that. Wish I could have just logged in with my normal Princess account from the start.
1 ★Slow to load onboard, next to impossible off-board. The "Find My Shipmates" works sometimes, but other times does not update. The chat feature does not ring when new message received. The Plan Activities takes several minutes (7 and counting) to load. The ship board account is a PDF of your account and does not open, you have to find to open. Using Google Pixel 4xl on Regal Princess.
4 ★Update: after a quick response from their support ( < 1 day), we are able to access our account now. Will update this review again later after we've had a chance to explore it. Original review: Not possible to log in or create an account, as others are saying. Always get a message that the information does not match their records through either method (booking number or email address).
1 ★Unfortunately, there are too many issues with this app. I decided to minimize the usage of the app during the cruise to avoid unnecessary frustration. The app is missing the most important on board section, that includes account details, breakfast order and on board events schedule. This is included on a web based app unrelated to Medallion class.
