La Protezione Civile della Regione Calabria ha creato questo sistema per avvicinare e far partecipare direttamente il cittadino alla segnalazione e gestione delle emergenze sul territorio
La APP EasyAlert e il portale ad essa connesso, consentono di far interagire in tempo reale gli operatori della sala di controllo con tutti gli utenti che semplicemente scaricando e utilizzando la APP possono diventare degli agenti di monitoraggio sul territorio regionale.
La geololocalizzazione del segnalatore, la foto dell'evento e le relative note aggiuntive consentono inoltre una comunicazione molto più efficace rispetto alla semplice telefonata e danno all'operatore in sala di controllo l'immediata evidenza del fenomeno descritto e della relativa gravità.
