A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew
1 ★4-7-20: I can access the first web page easily. Whenever I click on a story, it wants me to sign up or sign in. But, I'm already logged in. It says "Welcome Subscriber" in the upper right corner. Messages to customer service have not resolved this. I have no issues on my laptop. It's just this app. 5-12-20: Just did another uninstall/reinstall, problem not resolved. Lowered app rating to one star.
1 ★This app is useless. Click on an article you'd like to read, and it will direct you to the mobile site (instead of opening natively in the app) and will prompt you to sign in (even though you're already signed into the app). The problem is that the sign-in page does not load properly and defaults back to the front page of the mobile website. In other words, you cannot log in, and you cannot read articles.
2 ★This app works fine, but is pretty invasive. It scrapes your browsing history from other apps and serves you up "personalized" ads. You're better off using a mobile browser in incognito or private mode with an ad blocker. That way you're not served up creepy personalized ads. In fact, you won't see any ads at all.
2 ★Seems like a nice interactive app, but it doesn't have what is critical functional for me. When I am away from home, I want to grab a copy of the entire paper when I have WiFi connectivity and consume the edition later in the day when I don't have any connectivity or only unreliable connectivity.
2 ★Okay, I became a subscriber just so I could access ANYTHING on the app - and save for that it would be fine, but no matter how hard I try I am bludgeoned by the reminder to sub before I can do anything. I am a subbed so I click that button and it boots me out of an article I was trying to view. I try again, same thing. A neverending loop of being told to become a subscriber only to say I am a subscriber - I'm signed in! It's an app that is nearly as unfriendly to its subs as its nonsubscribers.
1 ★This App is FUBAR. For over a week now it simply will not load and keeps crashing on my Galaxy S9. I'm about to cancel my subscription, as I am a 100% portable device reader. Tried the usual, delete and reinstall. It's like hitting your thumb with a hammer and expecting a different result.
1 ★Every time I try to read an article, it displays a popup telling me I need to subscribe (even though I am already a subscriber and logged in on the app). Any attempt to go back or "x out" of the ad takes me back to the homepage.
1 ★I am a subscriber and log in when I try to read the Boston Globe. But when I try to get beyond the headlines and click on an article to read it I am stopped by popup ads telling me to subscribe or log in. from the reviews on the app other subscribers are having this same problem. please fix this bug. it makes me very unhappy with the app
2 ★Part of the point of having the Globe on my tablet is the ability to download the edition and read it off-line. Fix this, and I might give it a better review. In the meantime, fix the older e-paper version so it always works when off-line, not just sometimes.
1 ★This app is very frustrating. Unable to save and send copies of articles as I used to be able to do on older versions. Also, as a subscriber, I am unable to use the app on my phone, even after plugging in username and password.
2 ★Has some new content daily, but old articles stay in Top Stories for months while numerous new articles from each day's newspaper are not included. Even manually emptying the app's cache doesn't fix it. This app doesn't properly perform the basic function of a daily news app.
2 ★Had been working fine, then about a week or ago. Now it is shuts down immediately upon opening. I tried deleting and re-installing, but same behavior. Given how expensive the globe is compared to with Wapo or NYTimes be will request a refund if this continues.
