1 ★This used to be my favorite go to app for anything news related. That however has changed! They now require you to be a subscriber to view articles. Id rather be bombarded with ads with an option to opt out of adds through an in app purchase. Why pay for news when there are so many other news outlets who offer their stories for free.
1 ★This app has been a nightmare since my tablet received the Android 10 update. First off I have to manually kill the app and reload it after reading 3 articles or the app freezes and lock up the entire device. Secondly it now refuses to maintain my logim credentials, requiring me to reenter my user name and password every day to access the content I've paid to subscribe to. This is an EMBARRASSINGLY TERRIBLE offering, especially from a publication with the size and resources of Gannett. 👎🏼
1 ★A totally worthless app. Since I subscribe to their printed paper, I figured I'd use the app to stay abreast of breaking news. If you consider 48 to 150 hour old news to be current then this is the app for you. You are better off getting your news from someone more reliable. They got one star because it would not let me leave it blank.
1 ★If I could give zero stars, I would. Total scam artists. I signed up for a 3 month trial and that is where they get you. They want you to forget so they can charge you just under $10 a month and then tell you they can't refund anything under $10. Customer support via email and chat is useless and can't speak or understand English. I called in and was lied to and told that a refund would be processed and that he was cancelling service immediately only to find out through email that it's still on
3 ★When it comes to managing our account, this app is equal to the phone management system and the underlying database. It works, but not well in an automated-only mode. It is another example of over-hyped artificial intelligence and the bounties computers-only service bring to our planet.
1 ★I'm having the same experiences as reported by other people who subscribe. Doesn't keep me logged in, if I click on forgot password it let's me read everything, etc. I changed my password, didn't make a difference. Now Gannett is calling my home saying they need updated cc info. I'm sure not going through the hassle of calling. So be it if my subscription is canceled!
1 ★After the most recent update, I haven't been able to log in on this app. I'm using the correct info, but nothing. I still try to read non subscribe articles, however it doesn't let me. Please fix this update.

5 ★Good local news source and great value. We are lucky to have a news source that cares to show both sides of issues. This is becoming harder to find in these partisan days.
2 ★I'm going to look for another app to get local news. It's ridiculous that they want you to subscribe, I can get LA News free on ABC 7 and it's ridiculous to have to pay to read an article. that's what the ads are for aren't they?

1 ★Reporting is good, but the app is frustrating. Never recognizes that I'm logged in, so doesn't let me as a subscriber view the stories. Please fix this.
