Description

Munzee is the 21st century real world scavenger hunt where QR codes are found and captured using your smartphone. A player levels up and gains rank based on score. Points are obtained by capturing munzees. As you gain experience we encourage you to deploy your own munzees which will also add points to your score.

Munzees come in any size or shape but most contain a QR-code style barcode. The QR code is checked against your GPS coordinates as the essential gameplay elements of Munzee. Munzees can be hidden in containers, camouflaged or stickers in plain view.

Munzee will get you outside and moving. We are more than just a game. We are an active community providing fun tools to live a healthier lifestyle.

3 ★App works well but it's all far too easy. Got 12 within 5 minutes of my house, mainly just stuck to lampposts. If you enjoy walking down the street taking pictures of a sticker on a lamppost then I'm sure you'll enjoy it but I'd rather have a challenge personally

4 ★I tried Munzee earlier but opted to stick with geocaching. A fellow geocacher told me I should check out Munzee again because it has changed. Really enjoying it now. My one complaint is with the app itself. The map needs the option to keep the GPS centered at all times and move as the player moves.

3 ★Got my new note 8 and now i can't have another account on my Munzee. My daughter doesn't have a smart phone. Not very fun to keep logging in and out when I used to just have to touch the user upper right button. 😟

1 ★To be honest, I like the outdoors and getting fresh air and exercise. But I'm not really that bothered about playing a game where people who have clearly been playing a long time have then gone around and sticking a code on every lamppost. It's pointless. Then when going round I saw another player who had obviously found the munzee and a geocache at the same time. Sadly this inconsiderate person ruined the geocache. I now geocache as it feels like a greater sense of achievement and a much more interesting challenge of hiding a physical container. I won't be munzeeing again as a matter of pure boredom of scanning lampposts. Good luck to those who like that

5 ★I love searching for Munzee's. The more you capture the more you want to keep going! Great for getting out there walking!
