Description

The official CBP ROAM App (formerly OARS) from U.S. Customs and Border Protection allows pleasure boaters and other eligible travelers who arrive at remote locations to report their arrival online. In addition to submitting a report of arrival, pleasure boaters who are not currently enrolled in a Trusted Traveler Program, Local Boater Option, or I-68 program who are currently required to report in person may be eligible for a video inspection.
Disclaimer: This is a pilot version only for use in limited areas. Contact your local Port of Entry for guidance.
Create a trip by adding travelers, your mode of travel, your location, and contact information.
After you submit a trip, you may receive a push notification on your device to start a video chat with a CBP Officer to finish reporting your entry into the United States.

Note: In order to use this application, the Android device’s operating system needs to be Android 4.4 (KitKat) or above

1 ★Poor. App is full of illegal users.

3 ★*Update Jan 2025. There is no option to add a vessel from British Columbia..painful *Update to this (March 24) I can now log in but as soon as I press any button on home screen, returns to log in screen as before. Baby steps!* I

1 ★Worked fine for us for several years, but since 2024 won't work for either myself or my husband. We try logging in over and over and either get kicked out right after 2-step authentication or, if we're lucky to get past that step, then as soon as we try to update our information or report arrival. On the phone, CBP says it's working fine, but offers no assistance to us. There are no online help resources I can find. So we have to wait over an hour on hold to clear by phone.

1 ★This will not work on Android. I ended up tethering my phone to the ipad. We waited for 3 hours, and we never were connected with an agent. We gave up because we missed our boat to our hiking drop off point. There's no other way to do this hike, so we didn't get to. So disappointed

1 ★Low review rating well deserved. Downloaded, updated PW as instructed. Bought decal thru dtops. At login it just logs me back out. Circled through the process many times. Totally ineffective.

1 ★It used to work great. Now completely broken. Takes multiple attempts to log in, then randomly kicks you out. Loses all the data on your boat and traveler info each time you reopen the app. Pity, because it used to work fairly well

1 ★terrible app since the update ,just keeps on asking me to sign in with a code ,i submit the code and asks me to sign in again ,and again never going anywhere ,totally unusable
