Langkah
Potong masing-masing bandeng jadi 4 bagian. Cuci bersih. Goreng setengah matang. Sisihkan.
Gongso (goreng dengan sedikit minyak) bumbu halus sampai harum. Masukkan air dan asem jawa. Aduk sebentar. Tutup. Setelah mendidih, kecilkan api.
Masukkan bandeng, potongan wortel timun, cabe rawit utuh, irisan cabe merah besar. Tutup, biarkan beberapa saat sampai matang. Masukkan gula pasir. Matikan api. Masukkan garam. Tes rasa.
