De app 3Deventer is een project van Museum De Waag in samenwerking met Panoptes Heritage, Kunstenlab, Archeologie Deventer, Bestwerk, Twinsense360 en Sandorp erfgoed & cultuur.Deventer is bekend om haar rijke historie. Museum De Waag wil met wisselende tentoonstellingen deze unieke geschiedenis zichtbaar en tastbaar maken. Maar de reis door de tijd houdt niet op binnen de muren van Museum De Waag. Met de app wil het museum bezoekers en geïnteresseerden meenemen naar andere tijden om te laten zien wat ‘de tijd’ met een stad doet. Door middel van innovatieve 3D- reconstructies zijn gebouwen, die uit het straatbeeld zijn verdwenen, te bekijken alsof ze er nu nog staan. Toekomstbeelden van kunstenaars laten zien hoe de stad zich in de komende eeuwen kan gaan ontwikkelen. Op deze manier wordt het erfgoed van de stad op een unieke manier beleefd.
Met de app zijn diverse historische hotspots in de stad te bekijken in verschillende tijdlagen; in het verleden én toekomst. 3Deventer biedt o.a. een virtuele blik op het Deventer van 1550, waarin de oude dubbele stadsmuur is te bezichtigen vanaf de overkant van de IJssel. Klik in het beeld op de ‘Points of Interest’ voor meer historische informatie. Wandel langs de historische hoogtepunten in Deventer met de twee audiotours in 3Deventer en beluister de audiotracks voor meer achtergrondinformatie.
