Dan Sebelum Jazad atau Jenazahnya di makamkan maka orang muslim yang meninggal dunia tersebut perlu dimandikan, dan perlu di Shalati terlebih dahulu.Adapun Hukum Shalat Jenazah ini adalah Fardhu Kifayah atau kewajiban yang ditunjuk-kan bagi orang banyak (umat islam), akan tetapi apabila sebagian dari kita umat islam sudah melaksanakan Shalat Jenazah tersebut maka gugurlah kewajiban bagi yang lainnya.
Adapun Syarat-syarat Shalat Jenazah :
Shalat Jenazah Sama Halnya dengan shalat lainnya, yaitu : haruslah menutup Aurat, Suci dari najis/ Hadas besar dan kecil, suci Badan maupun Pakaian, dan tempatnya harus menghadap kiblat.
Sebelum Melakukan sholat Jenazah, Mayit sudah dimandikan dan dikafani.
Letak Jenazah atau Mayit sebelah kiblat orang yang menyalatinya, terkecuali kalau shalat dikerjakan di atas kubur atau Sholat Ghaib.
