Al igual que en las más importantes ciudades del mundo, el Municipio del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito con el apoyo Google Maps Inc., pone a disposición de la ciudadanía local e internacional información referente a las rutas de buses, para que pueda viajar con SEGURIDAD y notificar EMERGENCIAS , INCIDENCIAS, DENUNCIAS en el Transporte Público de la ciudad ,rutas que son generadas por la Secretaria de Movilidad (GTFS), así como reportes dtanto de SERVICIO como de SEGURIDAD en el DMQ.Así mismo, tomando en cuenta que más del 70% de ciudadanos se movilizan en transporte público y que se requiere de un medio por el cual la ciudadanía pueda reportar de forma directa incidencias tanto en el servicio como de seguridad por esta razón se crea el aplicativo “MovilízateUIO”, el que se mantiene en actualización constante y actualmente ofrece las siguientes funcionalidades:
REPORTE DE INCIDENCIAS TANTO DE SERVICIO COMO DE SEGURIDAD,EMERGENCIA
* La función de reportar incidencias sobre el SERVICIO e infraestructura del transporte público,SEGURIDAD, ciclovías y redes peatonales, estado de las vías, veredas, fue diseñada bajo el concepto de "crowdsourcing"; el cual aprovecha del conocimiento colectivo de la ciudadanía, para sistematizar y canalizar las experiencias a través de una herramienta digital. De esta manera les permitirá a las autoridades disponer información generada en territorio y focalizar sus recursos/proyectos correctamente.
Existen múltiples categorías y subcategoría que actualmente incluirán de forma incremental a todas las entidades municipales de servicio, seguridad, vialidad, integrándose a sistemas como BAJATE AL ACOSO enviando un SMS de forma directa al número 6367 desde la misma aplicación en las que se puede incluir un video o fotografía.
RUTAS Y FRECUENCIAS DEL SISTEMA DE TRANSPORTE INTEGRADO Y CONVENCIONAL
* Buscar la ruta más rápida para movilizarse en transporte público de un punto a otro punto dentro del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito con tecnología de TAP sobre el mapa – DMQ
* Conocer el tiempo aproximado que tardaría en llegar de un punto otro en el DMQ, movilizándose en transporte público y se integrará de forma inmediata con el Sistema de Ayuda a la Explotación que estará en los próximos años implementado en la ciudad de esta forma tener el tiempo real de llegada de una unidad.
* Lectura de códigos QR que estarán disponible en las unidades de transporte
* Guardar las rutas consultadas, aun cuando no exista conexión a Internet.

* Visualizar la red de ciclovías del DMQ
* Consultar las ubicaciones de todas las estaciones de BiciQuito del DMQ.
