Description
TubeTimer is a FREE parental control YouTube player with a built-in timer for kids/teens. Parents can set the total daily time allowance of video playing on their kids phone or tablet. Once they have used their total daily time limit (quota), TubeTimer will restrict playing videos until the next day so they can do other things! Unlike other parental control solutions apps, this is a simple app with NO subscriptions, NO ads, NO complicated setup.Here is how it works:
The first time TubeTimer is launched, the parents can create a password and set the total daily time limit (in minutes) for TubeTimer. After this initial setup, every time TubeTimer is launched, kids can watch videos until the timer expires!
The timer stops when TubeTimer is not used, so the kids can use TubeTimer at different times during the day until their total daily allowance expires. The timer limit will automatically reset the next day after midnight.
You can check the remaining daily time usage by sliding the drawer from the left edge of the screen. The value is in minutes, so a value of 60 will give a total of one hour of usage per day (which can be used in multiple sessions).
You can also change the daily timer value anytime by sliding the drawer from the left edge and pressing "Timer Setup" along with your password and a new time limit.
While browsing videos using TubeTimer the user can tap on videos to play videos and use the back key to go to a previous page. When you quit the app or turn off the phone/tablet the videos will stop playing.
NOTE: You can also login into your YouTube account from within the app to set up viewing restrictions.
