Radio Karimata berdiri pada tanggal 12 Oktober 1989 di Frequensi AM 810, dan merupakan radio swasta pertama di Kabupaten Pamekasan.Pada Tahun 2000 Radio Karimata berubah Frequensi dari AM ke FM, dan menjadi radio FM Pertama di Madura, dan mengudara di Frequensi 103.3.
Radio Karimata tidak hanya bergerak di bidang jasa siaran, Karimata juga mempunyai divisi non on-nair ( OFF AIR ). Mulai dari Tahun 1989 sampai sekarang sudah banyak event – event yang sudah kami laksanakan seperti, Tour Show Artis Ibu Kota, Hiburan Music Lokal, Grebek Pasar & Kampung.
Dan untuk lebih mendekatkan diri ke Masyarakat Madura pada umumnya dan Pamekasan pada khususnya mulai tanggal 20 Mei 2015 Radio Karimata merubah Format Citizen Journalism, dimana format ini lebih banyak interaktif dengan pendengar, sehingga bisa menggiring pendengar untuk juga peduli terhadap kejadian kejadian dilingkungan serta sekelilingnya, dan menyampaikan langsung ke Radio KARIMATA. untuk format lagu POP Indonesia.
