قَالَ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مَنْ قَالَ: « سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ حُطَّتْ خَطَايَاهُ وَلَوْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْر» رواه مسلم و البخاري. التسبيح هو تنزيه الله تعالى عن أية نقائص تَنزَّه وتعالى وجلَّ في علاه، وهو نوع من أنواع ذكر الله تعالى.فالتسبيح من أفضل القربات، وهو من الذكر الذي حث عليه النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام، وقد حث عليه كتاب الله، يقول الله جل وعلا في كتابه العظيم: (فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ) سورة الروم . ويقول جل وعلا: (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا*وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا) سورة الأحزاب.
